winter CdA and wind scaling questions
Just wondering if anyone else has done something like this. In the winter, I wear a good deal more clothing than during the rest of the year. I wonder if anyone uses a different CdA figure from season to season? How about a different wind scaling number? If you do use different numbers, what do you ...

Re: Feature Request
I thought of this as I was riding today (lots of time to think of ideas) but I don't know if it is possible. I am one of those people who really doesn't care much about HR or cadence. I would much rather see the CdA screen or at least see it when I want to see it. I have no idea how the unit gets an...

Re: Having issues calibrating ibike
"It should not be something that changes with time... provided that your position does not change significantly, and the position of the iBike does not change." While that may be true in theory, I have had mine change a few times over the last few years. Same bikes, same rider, same everyt...

Re: Newtons begin shipping today, June 4
Thank you, that is good news.
The bad news (if it can be considered bad) is that I will be off racing Monday through Wednesday so I won't even see it till I get back.
Plenty of time to play with it and dial it in afterward though.
Thanx again.

Same thing as Aaron above.
Not a real issue but what is the purpose of getting us all excited?
Oh well, back to waiting!

Re: Some Forum Basics
THANK you!! I think that, for me, one of the most frustrating things is when I think (or know) that I have read something about a particular subject. I try to find it, look in a number of different locations, and usually fail. Sometimes it is because the subject is rather obscure, sometimes it is ol...

Re: what actually is FRIC, help with profile please
First off, don't give up. Fernando was a HUGE help to me in understanding and dialing in the unit. Second, the mount that he showed pictures of is mine. I will tell you that regardless of how stiff/tight.whatever the extension seems to be, it probably isn't. The mount I made was using .075 stainless...

Re: how to mount on my new bike
I got the mount as soon as it was available, fearful that it was big/ugly. I was right as it was both. I made a mount at my shop and with Fernando's help, it works very well. Biggest issue was making sure that vibrations were minimized. If this works like I hope, here are some photos. https://mail.g...

Re: Editing Profiles for Dummies
Please, please, please issue something soon. I was getting very good results last year with a G3 and handlebar mount. The device did what I expected and I was very happy. BTW, Boyd and Travis helped in getting the numbers where they should be. Now I have the battery extender and have spent the last ...

Re: Troubleshooting help for new rechargeable mount
I didn't mean to give the impression that 2.75 V was normal, I just used that as an example. IOW, the voltage shown on the CPU did not change, on the display, no matter whether the CPU was attached to the battery extender or not. I killed a new battery in two rides at around 33* even with the extend...

Re: Troubleshooting help for new rechargeable mount
I was told me that there is no way to measure voltage across the contacts on the battery extender since the CPU actually turns it on. I took the rechargeable battery out and measured the voltage across the contacts. It read 4.16 V. This seemed high but it was consistent. Maybe the extra power drives...

Re: Editing Profiles for Dummies
What is the latest on this? I just got a new bike and the new battery life extender, did my cal ride and coast downs. The numbers (before analyzing) are way off and I want to make them better. I have a wired PT for comparison but would like to understand, and complete, the needed changes myself. Any...
