iAero and iBike Pro profiles
Velocomp et al,
If one is upgrading from iBike Pro to the iAero, can an iBke Pro profile that contains the wireless device codes for cadence, heart rate, and speed be uploaded to the iAero, thus nullifying the need to re-pair the devices?

Re: 2ND CDA
Actually, the 2nd CdA is for when sitting upright and being less aero not more. Thanks Travis for straightening me out on this. So the question is when huffing and puffing up a significant length hill how much extra effort am I making because I'm sitting straight up. I guess I should do a set of CD...

Re: Tilt good, then bad, then good again
I think you may find that even if your mount is glued to the stem (like mine using ShoeGoo) or to the handlebars that your tilt will be different after removing the computer from the mount. Sorry, I can't see this. I set my tilt, possibly put the unit outside to acclimate or plug it into the comput...

Re: Comparing CRR Numbers
A lot of people are on the clincher high right now, and while they are easier and have a lower rolling resistance. . .there is nothing like that sweet ride on a good set of tubulars. There's also a good weight savings and without the risk of a pinch flat you can run them at much lower pressures. I'...

Re: Tilt good, then bad, then good again
For S'es & G's, you folks should try this one: 1 - Set tilt 2 - Verify tilt 3 - Remove iBike from mount 4 - re-install iBike on mount 5 - check tilt I think you may find that even if your mount is glued to the stem (like mine using ShoeGoo) or to the handlebars that your tilt will be different a...

Re: Tilt good, then bad, then good again
Could a rear tire leak (2x) that reached a point where it quit leaking create such a graph? The tire would have had to reinflate itself at the 30 minute mark and then again at 1:27. If that 600 ft of tilt rise from the 23 minute mark to the 30 minute mark was at 20 mph (2.33 miles in 7 minutes), th...

Re: 4 mile coast down?
^^^^ If you purchased a new iBike, you should've gotten a CD with it that contains the manuals for how to set up the iBike. If you didn't get it new, then you should register your iBike with Velocomp, then download the latest software & firmware, and update those as needed. The manuals are avail...

Re: Spoke Magnet Sliding
This is sort of interesting, because the wheel magnets that I received with my wireless kit had a spoke magnet that accomodates flat spokes. I run Topolino wheels and they have the flat carbon fiber, kevlar covered spokes. They are flat and thicker than the bladed aero spokes you would normally see....

Re: Some ibike mounting questions
Derath, If you are set on the stem mount so that you can run the VRK (god knows that around here you need it for all of the rough chip seal), you'll probably need to flip your stem, if it's possible to do so. Your current angle looks pretty steep. You've seen my TCR. The current stem set-up on it, i...

Re: Weirdo wireless
Recently upgraded to the wireless mount. First two rides were fine with all the readings where expected. After zeroing wind setting and doing the tilt calibration, went out again this morning with strange speed readings. About .2 miles from my house is a 5% 1/2 mile hill which I usually take at abo...

Begone, waterproof tape!
My latest fix for a bad interference fit between the iBike computer and the stem mount has been to get rid of the tape altogether and use a thin rubber "o'ring [of sorts] that is the same circumference as the mount (ok, it's a rubber band). The rubber band is placed into the area where the iBik...

Re: Wireless observations/requests
I'm wondering if the sensor is actually close enough to the magnet while you are coasting that it is picking up random counts. Travis That brings up a good point, Travis. I know that when I descend a hill and I want to be "aero", I'll have the pedals at 3 and 9 o'clock--right where the st...
