Re: iAero suddenly will not connect to IB3 software
I have had this problem a few times and it usually occurs when I connect my iBike to the computer without turning the iBike on first. After failing to connect the only way I have found to get it to connect is to unplug from the USB port and start over. Unplug the USB, turn the iBike off and then bac...

Re: Something new for TT applications
I like the idea a lot. I don't do many TT's, but had to do a short one for this weekend's stage race. I just slap some aero bars on my bike and have never taken the time to set my iBike up with a different mount to do coast downs or an out and back in the aero position. This looks like a much better...

Re: odd behavior--fog or aliens?
I was in Fayetteville this weekend as well. I didn't have any obvious issues with my iBike, but did have some interesting numbers for Saturday. I was able to hide in the pack the entire race without doing any work. Just followed wheels and never had to close any gaps, possibly one of my most efficie...

Comparing Other's Ride Files
Just curious if it is possible to look at someones ride file and analyze it with my profile in order to see what kind of effort I would need to complete the same ride? An example would be a race file on a course I have never ridden. I can look at his power data and see what kind of effort to expect,...

Re: Can't Download Firmware - iBike Freezes - Ideas?
I had a similar problem with my iBike pro when trying to update a while back. What seemed to cause the problem was the old ride files that were stored on the iBike still. Once I cleared the ride files, the firmware update installed without any problems. Since you have reset your iBike and it still w...

Re: Trainpeaks WKO+ Software
I haven't tried a direct download since I switched to the new WKO+ or since I upgraded to the aero, so I can't answer your question directly... Usually I download my rides into the iBike 2 software, analyze the ride and save it. Then I just open the saved ride with WKO+. It has worked fine for me th...

Re: Heart Rate jumps
I had similar problems with my HR strap not making good contact till I had started to sweat a bit. Never tried the gel, but if you use chamois cream or butt butter or something similar, it works. I just put a little on my strap before I put it on and that has solved my issues.

Re: Newbie Question Regarding Power PLEASE HELP!!!
Yes, the wind offset needs to be zeroed before every ride. There is another thread talking about wind offest and the best meathods for zeroing, in your car, in your garage, some place that you know there is no wind.

Re: Newbie Question Regarding Power PLEASE HELP!!!
The iBike does not erase your profile if you erase data. My first guess would be the wind offset or the tilt settings. If either one of those is not set accurately then you can get a significant difference in numbers during the ride vs. after analysis. If you know you did good coastdowns and have a ...

Re: iBike within wireless mount have play
Don't be jealous that I use less watts because I am more aerodynamic and more efficient. Besides, I hardly have to pedal when I am behind you, it's not really drafting, it's more like being pulled along in your wake!

Re: Need advice with profiles and CDs
Yes, you can just upload the profile to the iBike according to whatever type of ride you will be doing that day. The iBike only stores one profile at a time, and should automatically clear out the other profile. In the iBike software you just click on Profiles, then send profile to iBike and there i...

Re: Need advice with profiles and CDs
I think the quick answer is that any time you change something on your bike you should do the coast downs and 4 mile ride to create a new profile if you want the most accurate information. In regards to climbing, your normal profile should be fine. TT's can be different if you do the TT in a differe...

Re: coast down values
Thanks for the great explination! I think the more people understand about the coast down and 4 mile ride info the better! Too often I have seen it referred to as more of a set-up chore instead of a valuable tool that can give you some great data! You should be thankful I have a higher CdA since you...

Re: coast down values
The sample profile uses a friction of 7.760 so I would guess that is an average number....... So just think of your Kuota as being above average!

I would say they look reasonable......................................if you are a bit chubby and kinda slow.
My numbers - Aero 0.477, CdA 0.391, Fric 4.068, Crr 0.0042
Unfortunantly I can't tell you what any of that really means.
