As mentioned, I live in very ondulating hilly area and it is almost impossible for me to find a long flat stretch to do calrides. I have to drive at least an hour down to do it We hav...

Re: wind port issue or/and malfunction?
Thank you I had posted this issue that I thought was drafting and a gentleman at the time (Racerfern, Fernando) had mentioned to check a wind port issue I redid many calibration rides afterwards but didn't seem to fix Most of rides last summer were in the mountains so it worked great uphill and was ...

wind port issue or/and malfunction?
Hi there I have been using the iBike Newton for over a year and LOVE it. It has been very consistent. When I download and read the files, it shows a lot of wind to my "back" but not head wind which I know I have encountered a lot. My last cal ride was done this summer and I can upload the ...

Re: "HRT is OFF" on ibike Newton message
Thank you very much John I did what you said and it actually "revived" the heart monitor. The ibike did detect it, but after few miles the heart monitor started to give me eroneous readings and then just stuck on same number. you were exactly right, it seems this strap is gone I bought thi...

"HRT is OFF" on ibike Newton message

Re: Drafting and erroneous wind data from ibike
Thank you so much Fernando, you are so incredibly helpful. (I have to say, better than tech support in my opinion)
I will try to do this in the next 2 days and email you the information. Probably Wednesday AM, as i will do the Cal ride very early with minimum wind
Thanks again

Re: Drafting and erroneous wind data from ibike
Ok Fernando, I will do a brand new out and back (I am getting tired of doing those as it take me 45 mn to drive to a flat enough area, otherwise, I don;t have a 2 miles flat road around here. (Unless you tell me it is ok to do the out and back on a road that has some small% hills(like 3 %max) here a...

Re: Drafting and erroneous wind data from ibike
Thank you very much Fernando Answers to your questions: 1) Is your Newton on the stem or on the handlebar? I have the Newton on the handle bar. It hasn't changed since my last cal ride 2) Did you really draft the entire ride?? Assuming no, it's obvious either the wind sensor is blocked, or somehow t...

Drafting and erroneous wind data from ibike
Hi there I love my ibike and is fantastic training tool. But unfortunately I doubt its readings when drafting in big group rides after this AM... This morning I went on 53 mile ride and there was ZERO wind at 7:30 AM. The wetaher forecast posted 5 mph average later during the day I drafted most of t...

Re: Wrong wattage with different riding position set in profile?
Thank you very much Fernando. Your inputs are always well detailed and very helpful I totally agree on everything you said. I am just a bit of a different rider and I climb a lot and just can;t stand long rides on flat terrains as I get bored quickly :-). I do about 30% of of out of saddle during cl...

Re: New FW and SW
Wow I was pulling my hair out and emailed tech support yesterday as I experienced the same thing Really odd behavior, no watts, very low watts, crazy high watts in descent and thought I had a defective unit I will try the above and see if it fixes it. The ibike was working flawlessly before I did th...

Stem Mount for Bike ala SRM (Delray twilight facebook pic)
Hi there I just saw a pic on the ibike page of a racer at Delray Twilight, with ibike monted just like a SRM in front of the stem . This is an ideal location for me as i am constantly looking at my power . This would be a big plus (I LOVE the ibike newton i purchased in December but not the mount). ...

Re: suggestion: a write up on the order of importance of calibra
I am new to this and let me state that I agree 100%
I won't mind AT ALL spending time doing great calibration exercise to get the best results and most accuracy possible. (That is If indeed Calibration is that critical to accuracy)

New User, Calibration question
I asked and received an iBike Newton for Christmas. I have few questions about calibration and forgive me if they are basic 1)I live in a very hilly Northern GA area, so difficult to find flat roads unless I go to the highway. Does the Calibration ride HAVE TO be on a perfectly flat road. Can few pe...
