AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I tried the reset procedure several times and each time the light was red after pairing. I couldn't work out what I was doing wrong. Then I discovered the answer. I hadn't turned it on! I pressed the button, once, quickly, and the light changed from red to orange and I was able to do the calibration...

I have a similar problem. I turned on PP, got the orange light, did a ride (but not out and back - just out). The PP counted up from 1 to 100 but then instead of starting to show power it just displayed 50w and the light flashes red/green. Is this similar to OPs problem and should I do the same proc...
