Re: TT Bike Calibration question
Hi John It did cross my mind... it seems stiff but any vibration could i guess screw with the settings. I have no issue at all on the road bike which uses a K-Edge out front mount... so it is pointing to that. I guess you ship to the UK no problem ? and what is the lead time i'm looking at ? Thanks ...

Re: TT Bike Calibration question
Will post some pics later... but i know that the position is spot on. It is a solid mount with nothing blocking the port, no movement with the Powerpod... it is the same mounting i've been using for a year now. Just the last couple of so of TT's i've done the figures have been fluctuating and spikin...

TT Bike Calibration question
Hi John Just wondered if you could cast your eye over a file that was produced last night on my local TT course.. Felt like the power readings were spiking too much and wasn't giving an accurate reading. It was hard to keep to a power figure as it was fluctuating too much. Course was 10 mile and win...

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod
So, to clarify. Using PP on two different bikes. Have set profiles for each bike (each bike has its own sensors). Have done Out and Back for each bike. When I move from one bike to another, do I have to switch the active profile using Isaac, or will the PP just see the sensors and switch profiles? ...

Re: How do I get more efficient?
To help with my pedal stroke (a) i got a bike fit to sort out body position also cleat position was a big thing and (b) i used Trainerroad and their pedaling drills.. it was amazing to see the difference between mashing and a smooth kick and pull motion. It's not perfect but i'm happy with what i ha...

Ah ... brilliant.
That makes far better sense. Powerpod is working fine with the profiles i/you have already setup.
Many thanks for the update John, i can proceed with confidence.

Re: New Firmware 640 for PowerPod
I'll reserve judgement on this update until i've used it.
I regularly switch the unit between road and TT bike maybe 4 times a week... so doing an OB calibration each time could be a problem especially in the heat of getting ready for a TT. The old system was easier for this.

Re: Standard Mount with TT Bars?
Can't see your hands causing an airflow problem unless they are below the Powerpod.. if so you have a fantastic aero position.
This is my setup with the stem mount.. no interference at all.

I use one of these on the TT bike without any issues.
Mounts on the front of the stem so no interference from hands or position.

Re: Suggestions for Combo Mounts for Garmin/Powerpod
I've used both mounts with and without a stop.. without any problems. Just make sure the Powerpod logo is square to the ground each time and fully tightened up then it's good to go. Used a stem mounted mount on the TT bike and a Lifeline from wiggle on the road bike, also a K edge mount. All work fi...

Re: May have figured it out - Velcomp please read
I find that i only need to do the press and hold for 4 secs if i've moved the PP to my other bike... if i haven't moved it spinning the cranks to wake sensors to garmin then press the PP on usually does the trick.

I've never moved mine so i haven't noticed... because it was really freak weather and never had any issues before just put it down to experience.
Like i said the next TT i did the figures were back to where they should be.

Re: Rain problem? Full Ironman
I had a timetrial recently in similar conditions and the powerpod was working fine until around 50K out of 80K then figures went wonky ... i put it down to the amount of water coming off the front wheel entering the port. Once dried out it was working back to normal.

Hi John Attached is a file from my last TT .. just wanted to check if everything still looks ok? you mentioned about checking wind values ? not sure how to do this. Re: Think my power output is too high
Hi John... Did a test ride today with the new TT profile you supplied and what a difference it made. No spikes in power and an even spread across the hole ride with increases in power where i thought there would be... not full out TT effort but happy with the avg 245 w. Very happy customer :D Cheers...

Just as a comparison on why i think numbers are off... on the TT the winner (and 5 mins faster than me) a double Olympic gold medalist in Rio avg 362w, mine for the TT was 634w and i know for a fact i can't and never will out power him.

Re: Think my power output is too high
Hi John Many thanks for your reply... photos of the powerpod attached. As far as i can see nothing blocks the air port and the unit is mounted to a metal K edge mount with a gopro adaptor underneath with the unit pushed against the stop so no movement there ... kedge is torqued up at the bars also. ...
