Re: Pairing with multiple powermeters
Can you wake up the Powertap hub by spinning it without moving the cranks and waking up the P2Max? Then pair with the AP.

AeroPod install lots of thoughts and questions
Very happy owner of a brand new AP now, thanks! Big list of thoughts and questions that are hopefully helpful to others as well. 1) Issac does not default to Profile 4 when I launch it, connect my AP, and select Device/Set Up Device. This is on the installed Issac software that I have used for a few...

Re: uphill vs downhill
OK, ride is done. I have attached the last cal ride file, the current ride file, and a photo of the PP mount.
FYI the profile is the one generated by the cal ride, except that I altered the CdA to .24.

Re: uphill vs downhill
Addendum
My PP is mounted very securely, and I never remove it. I will do a regular ride tomorrow based on my latest cal ride, and submit the file. Unless you tell me the cal ride is wonky. I do know the profile that was created has the high CdA that you fixed last time.

Re: uphill vs downhill
Hi John, I don't know if you missed my cal ride posting (just before this) or you just busy with other things. Just checking in because it's been a little longer than usual for your response.
Thanks, T Bruce

What parameters signal the end of a ride for PP
Since I'm doing a lot of little rides in a row, I'm wondering how the PP decides the ride has ended and creates a ride file. I've posted a similar question on the PP forum, but maybe I didn't state it well, because it has been viewed a bit and not answered. Scenarios: 1) I go for a 1 hour social rid...

Re: uphill vs downhill
Alright, I did two cal rides, both with little problems, which may not matter. Ride #1- I ran out of pavement, had to slow down drastically, and loose my aero position as I hit the gravel road. Turn around occurred in the short gravel section. Ride #2 - Probably OK, but it had two turns, some coasti...

How start a new ride
OK, I've spent awhile looking for this basic function. How do you end a ride and start another, creating a new ride file? Say on the same day I do a 15 mile ride. Then I stop for a just little bit, and want to start a new ride file. How do I do this? Normally there are large amounts of time between ...

Re: uphill vs downhill
Hi John thanks, Yes, TT bike. I did a cal ride in TT position, and you looked at it. Your comments were: 1) His CdA is way too high for an aero position. For someone of his size, it should be about 0.24 2) His wind scaling is a bit high (too much air on downhills) I adjusted his profile for both fac...

uphill vs downhill
It really seems like my downhill power and uphill power readings are out of whack. My uphill power readings are higher than they "feel" and downhill just the opposite. I have attached my latest ride file. Hoping to learn a lot more about refining my PP.

Re: Still not confident regarding accuracy
Wow! This is a great thread that really helps understand the whole PP process, and how to best use it. Seems like we still need to determine if the "wasted power" of stand up climbing is as bad as PP reports. I look forward to more.

Re: Isaac fails to connect to PP most of the time
Got a new USB connector installed in the Powerpod under warranty (Thanks!), and I get totally reliable USB connections now,BUT I still can't download ride data. I get the standard "6004 Error" window. No ride data is downloaded. I can communicate with the PP fairly reliably for most operat...

Isaac fails to connect to PP most of the time
I have only been able to connect my PP to Isaac maybe 4 or 5 times. I have reinstalled the drivers numerous times, and it seems to work once and then fail the next time I open Isaac. Can't seem to connect at all now. The USB cable works as a charger, so I'm assuming it is good and has a good connect...
