powerpod doesn't sync with Isaac, don't show power on ride
I've tried resetting my powerpod by holding down the button for 10 seconds (the LED blinks green a few times, then once blink red and I let the button go -- this takes ~10 seconds) but that is not helping. When I plug in the USB cable Windows 10 pops up a window that says "USB device not recogn...

Re: FAQ? How to tell powerpod I want to do a new calibration ride?
in my case (1) is true.
What is the easiest way to do a "new sensor pairing"? E.g. push the button on the PowerPod a certain way or follow a particular procedure in Isaac?

FTP setting in Isaac > Device > edit profiles
What is the effect of changing this setting? I don't understand why the PowerPod would care about that the rider's functional threshold power is

Re: Separate speed and cadence sensor pairing?
I have 2 HR chest straps (garmin ANT+). I misplaced the one I originally paired the powerpod with. To try and pair the second HR chest strap I connected the powerpod to isaac and edited the sensor ID for the HRM. I have no idea what the "type" is so I left it as it was (type 1). Is this a ...

Re: powerpod w/ cyclops -- which of 5 entries!?
I have a cycleops fluid-2. How am I suppose to chose one of these profiles!? The different curves come from different people who tested it. You will see the name of the source below the graph. I would use #4; this data came from the manufacturer. I tried that one and with the slider all the way to ...

Re: powerpod w/ cyclops -- which of 5 entries!?
I'm under the impression that I can upgrade my PP to BLE with a firmware upgrade. If this is correct, where do I purchase such an upgrade? Looking at the velocomp.com website I'm not finding a "purchase a firmware upgrade to BLE" option.

Re: powerpod w/ cyclops -- which of 5 entries!?
thanks for all the infrequently asked question answers! I'll try the manufacturer's curve for my Cycleops and see how that goes. Air quality is still terrible here in the Monterey Bay area from wild fire smoke so a indoor ride in on the menu :( I'm not overly concerned with the hoods vs the drops qu...

Re: powerpod w/ cyclops -- which of 5 entries!?
OK, I did a ride with the first (lowest?) power curve for my cyclops. I also dragged the power adjustment slider all the way to the left (lowest setting) and applied in Isaac to try and lower the power but it is way too high for the perceived effort (and HR) vs what power I see with the same effort ...

Re: variety of n00b powerpod questions
and I can buy BLE as a firmware upgrade (and then use the app above to update my total weight?) My recently purchased device: FW version 7.02 Serial Number: 09-24-18-08-05-0A-B0-00-03-00-93-03-AC-7F-10-0D in case you need that to answer my question. wireless data transfer would be nice but the weigh...

Re: variety of n00b powerpod questions
OK, after using PP a few times, here are the easy quality of life small improvements I wish for: ability to update total weight (rider, kit, bike) before a ride wirelessly, preferrably by a smartphone app. Since using PowerPod I weigh myself + bike before a ride and it can vary as much as a kilogram...

also, I notice that strava puts a lightning bolt next to power numbers (e.g. on segments) when they are from an actual power meter rather than strava inferences.

Re: Strava Weighted Ave Power
I have my powerpod paired with my Garmin and the PP reports power to the garmin (I see it on my main screen). Garmin reports all sensor data to Strava when I upload. Strava will take all the power readings Garmin reports and generate stats from that. I wonder if Marc is asking about Strava stats der...

BTW, the LED meanings cheat sheet posted in another thread was invaluable. You might want to highlight that for other n00bs.

variety of n00b powerpod questions
I initially configured Isaac/powerpod to use "best accuracy". I did my calibration ride and then later did a long ride. The powerpod worked great and I downloaded the ride data into Isaac. Fine. I reweighed myself and my bike (fully loaded and kitted) and tweaked the weight setting in Isaa...

Re: Separate speed and cadence sensor pairing?
Poking around in Isaac, I discovered the "Wireless IDs" tab in the Edit/Edit Profiles... dialog. Here I could see that the speed sensor was pairing, but not the cadence sensor - handy dialog for sure. I found this thread tonight, discovering the tidbit about FW6.21 and the three red flash...

questions about strava upload, garmin edge 520, powerpod
I have a garmin edge 520 package (ant+ hub, cadence and HRM sensors). I have the garmin set up to automatically upload my ride data to strava. when I buy a powerpod and use it with my garmin edge 520, Will the power data will automatically upload to strava? I imagine I'll eventually learn to use the...
