Re: Low CdA values ?
Thanks for the reply John I did calibrate the SRM via the Garmin before calibration ride with AP, and I don't think the SRM cal was wrong as my perceived effort felt right for the numbers and speed that I was doing as I have rode this piece of road many times and the condition were good If the SRM c...

Low CdA values ?
I used Aeropod for the first time this year with firmware 7.06. It seemed a lot more stable and repeatable than previous releases. If I am correct in my analysis with "Isaac", which is showing my CdA to be in the region of 0.160. Surely this can not be correct? I am confident that the prof...

Re: Testing Results
Hello RolfK
Thanks for the update on your testing and nice to hear you are getting consistent test results. Practice at testing is good advice and I will do that on my winter bike.

Testing Results
I've not been able to get out and make further tests with my AeroPod with the winter weather and other commitments. My first few rides, I did not get consistent results which I have posted about on this forum. And not being sure when I'll be able to make further tests with stable weather conditions ...

Re: AeroPod beta firmware
I pressed the lap button on my Garmin and the SRM reconnected
The extra lap markers are at 7.9 miles, 9.9 miles and 12 miles where I did not press the lap button on my Garmin and when viewing the data on Garmin Connect there is no extra lap markers

Re: AeroPod beta firmware
Thanks for the reply John, If you could also clarify the following please
1, Is my cal ride OK with the interruption by road junctions ?
2, Any idea what is going on with the communication between my SRM PM and AeroPod ?
4, The extra lap marker that has been inserted into the ibr file?

Re: AeroPod beta firmware
I rode with the beta firmware at the weekend Pairing with bike sensors was fine and now I've done it a few times it is really simply and straight forward once you get to know the sequence. I used a different piece of road then on my 2 previous rides with AeroPod due to road works on that piece of ro...

Re: My First Ride with AeroPod
Is it possible that the issue with the slope is related to when the bike is stationary. The reason behind my thinking is that the AeroPod has not changed angle relative to my base bars during the ride. But AeroPods angle does change relative to the ground - 1,When I lean my bike against my car and t...

Re: My First Ride with AeroPod
The extension posts above the TT mount are the std Giant riser blocks for the aero bars they are solid aluminum and they sit in a profiled recess so everything is sitting square and flat before the bolts are tightened, which are the same bolts holding my left aero bar onto the bike, and they are tig...

Re: My First Ride with AeroPod
AeroPod is mounted using the supplied TT mount to a Giant Trinity base bar as per instructions and is firmly mounted. It did not come loose during the ride or get knocked. I did not ride over any pot holes, the tarmac surface does have small imperfections but nothing you would not expect to see on a...

Re: My First Ride with AeroPod
I did another test this Sunday, same road but the wind was a bit calmer than the first time. the first time I had a 10.7mph cross wind from NNE direction, this time the wind was still a cross wind from a different direction, with a speed of 7.5mph, from the south. I did a hard reset as suggested and ...

Re: My First Ride with AeroPod
My SRM has performed faultlessly since I have had it and the batteries are fresh in SRM battery life terms. But that's not to say it did not develop a fault when using it last time out. What I can do is use another Garmin just paired to the SRM and compare the data to the Garmin paired to the AeroPo...

Thanks for the reply and looking at my data files I've zipped and uploaded the gpx file if that's any use to you can you confirm I am using the right "Device Mount Location" as Front Mount with the supplied TT bike mount in Device Setup? Was expecting/hoping to see bigger differences in th...

My First Ride with AeroPod
I used Aeropod for the first time on Sunday. Pairing to my power meter and speed sensor first was straight enough thanks to the video and calibration also was OK with no issues. I have attached the ibr files. I ended up with 2 files from the ride which I have attached, I have also merged the GPS dat...
