Re: Calibration & wind graph
Hello John, Sunday I tried, as you suggested, to do the complete calibration procedure with the mtb, but the pp stopped at 50 watts and didn't go any further, so I turned everything off. After resetting, in the afternoon I tried to do a short ride o & b to check the calibration of the mtb profil...

Hello John, please check the calibration of my ppv3 on these files ... the pp had a problem at home (it didn't turn on); I reset it after plugging it into the pc and everything went fine. The first ride is divided into two parts (the two files dated February, I forgot to update the PP clock after re...

Re: Power off, no elevation gain
Hi John,
i sent the request to support for the locked power button of my pp v3 a few days ago, but i have not received a reply yet. I'm sorry to insist but I have an event that I care about on Sunday and I would like to fix it in time. Could you please send me the instructions? thank you.

Re: Power off, no elevation gain
In fact it always happens after a stop .. may be the previous descent was read as a stop, if I didn't pedal. The stop itself did not last more than 5 minutes. Anyway, I tried to resume the ride with the power button, but maybe the problem lies in the button itself, that sometimes work badly. I belie...

Power off, no elevation gain
Hello John, for the second or third time this year, my PPV3 stopped showing power during a ride. The ride lasted over 3 hours and 30 minutes, but the PP recorded just over two. The pace was not particularly sustained and we did some short climbs on foot, due to the steep, loose and wet surface. Afte...

new bike with old sensors, where did I go wrong?
Hello John, I bought a new road bike and moved the cadence and speed sensors from the old one. I then created a new profile named "addict" (screenshot 1) using the setting device command. I entered all the data and left for calibration. the pp was immediately placed in calibration mode (re...

Is this my ride today?
Hi John, for a few days my ppv3, while transmitting correct power values to the garmin, seems to no longer register the rides, except to show races dated a long time ago, which however do not correspond to those stored on my pc. Yesterday I cleared all rides and reset the unit by pressing the button...

Re: Calibration & wind graph
thanks john, these are two road workouts performed completely alone, on two different routes, one of which is often windy. I don't think there were any draft effect, except maybe those of the cars passing me. I will take a short o & b ride on an isolated road, to see if the graph improves. thank...

Calibration & wind graph
Hello John, i have a doubt about the calibration of my pp v3 on the road bike. It seems to me that the wind graph is too far from that of the speed and I had seen in your video that this happens when the calibration is not perfect. In fact, this does not happen if I use the pp with the mtb. I have t...

Re: Test firmware for power measurement at low speed
Hello John,
i saw this post now. I remember doing a firmware update last year, but I'm not sure this is it.
This is the firmware installed now on my pp v3, is it updated or not? If not, could you kindly send it to doib@hotmail.it?
Thanks so much, Davide.

race number and powerpod
Hello John, today i took part in a mtb race. I brought my PP v3 to keep the power in check, but upon putting the number on the handlebar I realized it would block the wind port. However, during the warm up it seemed that the watts were quite correct, so I decided to race without changing anything. O...

Hello John, I changed the road bike tires to 28mm models (before they were 25). In order not to re-calibrate, I tried to save the existing profile with a new name and change only the tire section and weight of the bike. The only possibility to do this seems to be to copy the file and modify it, but ...

Re: PP V3, died and resurrected again
I also had the same problem yesterday. During a road bike ride, my pp v3 started to score low watts on the ascent and highs on the descent. I immediately turned it off by pressing the button 5 times. A little later I tried to turn it back on, but no light came on and did not transmit power to the ga...

Correct initial calibration alarm
Hello John, I thought ... about the calibration of the PP at the beginning of the rides, it would not be possible to have a signal on the garmin that warns us when it is complete and possibly make sure that it's not recorded in the .ibr file, or maybe recorded separately? In this way the average and...

Exaggerated watts and slopes
Hello John, I'd like to show you a ride with crazy watts. As you can see, towards the end of the file there are values like 1700 watts, definitely not in my capacity. Maybe you remember, I configured the mtb wheel with two magnets and half wheel size (garmin gsc 10 sensor) and I had problems with th...

Calibration and weight changes
Hello John, could you kindly check these my rides in mtb and road bike? I think the calibration can be improved, judging by the average bike and wind speeds. oddly, the calibration looked better on older runs. Could it be because I've lost a pound or two and haven't updated my profiles? Thanks, see ...

Re: PowerPod v3 Mounting Holes Question
If it can help, I have had the same problem with a support from another company (not k-edge), to be mounted under the original garmin support. After unsuccessfully trying to align the holes, I realized that the holder was too short to fully insert the PP attachment. I think there are on the market s...

Powerpod on mtb equipped for bicycle touring
Hello John, I'm about to leave for a cycling tour in Trentino and I would like to bring the powerpod (if I can find a space for mounting it on the handlebar ..). I have prepared a drawing, which I am attaching, to evaluate my front surface with the bags, tracing a photo of a past trip. How can I use...

Re: Excessive speeds causing too high powers?
Hello John, as promised I still report some feedback. The new firmware, as hoped, has brilliantly solved the problems. The files are no longer duplicated. The only strange thing is that, with profile no. 3 (road bike) in the file name the km are still halved. But the numbers in the file are correct ...
