Re: Calibration Issues
I copy and pasted the link you posted but it would not go through. So I manually typed it and sent it that way, although it was in my sent folder apparently it didn't go to the correct email address.

Re: Calibration Issues
John, I did a hard reset and I am still having issues. I follow the calibration steps and on my out and back calibration when I reach 100 on the back of the calibration my powerpod then reads 50 watts and it stays at 50 watts. If I then turn the powerpod off it seems to be working but I don't know i...

Calibration Issues
Here goes, it has been approximately 6 months since using my powerpod, weather related indoor riding. So I fully charged the powerpod. Updated to the most recent firmware. Checked all parameters. Made sure the powerpod was still paired to my Garmin 520 edge. Paired the cadence and speed sensor to th...

Calibration Question
John, if the device is moved slightly up or down while on a ride will it auto correct itself, or if it is moved from its original calibration angle does it need to be re-calibrated. My powerpod has been really consistent. Today on my ride my watts dropped considerably. My power pod is rock solid but...

Calibration Ride Question
John once the 0-50 out and 50-100 back is complete, what is the optimum out and back distance to ride after your initial calibration for analyzing the data? I seem to remember you saying it shouldn't be to long of a distance. Is this correct or am I making that up?

Gravel Bike CDA
John I just watched the analyze and correct youtube video for how to properly setup a powerpod after your cal ride. I noticed you adjusted the CDA for a crossbike to .41-.42. Would this also apply to a gravel bike?

Thanks, good information. I always thought you had to load the profile via connection to Isaac.

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
Issue I was having, after confirming a good cadence/speed sensor pairing by pressing the power button and getting a solid yellow. I would start riding to get the flashing red/green. My PP would start counting 0-50 calibration before pushing the power button to initiate calibration.

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
So once you get the flashing red/green, you just do the out and back? No need to push the power button to initiate calibration?

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
In the past I haven't pushed the power button at 50/turnaround point. I'm not sure why i did it today. Other than that do I have the rest of the steps correct. I appreciate the assistance.

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
When I do my calibration, I typically ride to a cycling/walking trail roughly two miles from my home. Once I arrive to the trail, I make sure that my speed and cadence sensor are awake, turn on the powerpod. Once on I hold the power button down until I get a green flashing light. Once the light flas...

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
John here is the calibration ride and 20 mile out and back I did this morning. If you could look at these two and make the necessary adjustments. Also I'm not understanding the issue I'm Having. I thought if I set up a bike 2 profile and did the setup process for that bike and did a calibration ride...

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
I posted the original 1 mile out and back calibration ride from 7/22. after I did the 7/22 calibration ride, I went on a 32 mile out and back, i did draft another rider roughly between miles 20 to 30 in this initial post calibration ride. While riding the power numbers were low from the numbers I ty...

Re: Calibration Check on a new Bike
That is interesting, because I switched bikes with the Powerpod, set up a new profile with the new bike specs and did a new calibration. Ride (0-50 out, 50-100 back) and then went on my 26 mile regular out and back. When I viewed the data in Isaac my wind figures seemed out of whack. It showed a mas...

Calibration Check on a new Bike
John could you take a look at this out and back after my calibration ride. My friction came back at a -0.248. When I tried to send the profile to the Powerpod I get a notification box saying that -0.248 is outside the allowable parameters 0f .10 to 100.00 Isaac screenshot.PNG Velocomp_07_23_2021_153...

Repairing Powerpod lite to bike computer
Ok need a little help. Repairing my powerpod lite to my Coospo B200 bike computer. I have had my PPL for 6 or so months and it has worked flawlessly until this morning. When I went out to ride this morning it wasn't reading power. Figured I would just recalibrate it. My problem is my sensors are all...

Re: Calibration Poll
I wonder if people want to vote on this and let's see what John's response is after we have a reasonable number of responses. The real question is how do you continue to verify your calibration? I chose the 5 to 15 mile out and back, I download my weekly rides into Isaac every Sunday evening and ve...

Re: Calibration is off for first 5-10 minutes
If you walk your bike to the basement with the Newton turned on, that would be enough to throw off things a bit. Turn your Newton off immediately after your ride ends and all will be well. John: I have been experiencing this same issue. I have noticed that my power typically runs high for the first...

Re: Calibration Analysis (John)
1) When looking at a ride file, I look to see if wind speed and bike speed are comparable. Unless riding in strong head/tail winds (which is obvious to see) then the graphs should be similar. Yours are, so the unit is properly calibrated. Screen Shot 2021-04-21 at 1.45.11 PM.png 2) For your gravel ...

Calibration Analysis (John)
John: Could you look over my two most recent ride files from this weekend and let me know how it looks, as far as calibration. The 4/17 ride file was a 59 mile out and back gravel ride with about 14 miles of asphault thrown in. Any recommendation on a CRR for gravel riding. This was more of a medium...

Re: Calibration Check
Today I did another validation ride. High end tempo about 10-15% less then I can do max. I then compared it against my zwift Power Curve records w/Direct trainer from January and February this year. During todays ride I did a full out 1 minute effort and a full 5 minute effort for what I was capabl...

Re: Calibration Check
Being I am a software test engineer for a living I took the liberty of doing some analysis and research. Seeing from other advice on the forums the only setting I should be playing with to get this accurate after a calibration is the CRR(I did this on the ride files using Analyze->tweak) , which fr...
