Re: High wattage on flats at high sp/low effort
GWPOS...The % grades I see on the road look reasonable, so I'm inclined to believe my tilt is good. On one of the long false-flat sections where I see the issue, I did a short out and back keeping an eye on the grade. Looked pretty consistent on the negative going down and the positive coming back. ...

Re: High wattage on flats at high sp/low effort
Here's another file from a ride that I did this morning. This is one of my more frequent training routes. One note I should add with regard to both files I've posted, is that the higher-than-normal wattage that I see while on the bike is largely not reflected in the files. The iBike software appears...

Re: High wattage on flats at high sp/low effort
Sorry for the delay in getting a file posted...here is one from a short ride I just finished. The issue can be seen between minutes 19-22 of the ride file. I was cruising down a smooth, mellow grade on a road I ride frequently. On this stretch, at the effort I was putting out, I would normally see z...

High wattage on flats at high sp/low effort
In the past week or so, I've noticed that my Gen III iAero has begun showing much higher than expected watts when I'm traveling at speeds of more than, say, 20mph on relatively flat (+/-1%) roads. The disconnect between the watts on screen and my perceived exertion is probably on the order of 20-40 ...

Mount swap anyone?
I have a wireless handlebar mount I'm interested in swapping for a low-angle stem mount if anyone is interested. It's used but in perfect working condition.
Feel free to contact me directly at jmschroed@hotmail.com.
Cheers,
Jason

Re: iBike TransAlp MTB
I just set mine up on my full suspension MTB, but haven't done any riding yet. I'll post some feedback once I have a few miles on it.

Re: Wireless stem mount
FWIW, I didn't have good results using the "Universal Mount Adapter Gasket" when trying to marry the wireless mount to a Topeak Xtender, which also has a small diameter. The foam gasket got a little deformed under the pressure of the clamp and just didn't seem stable enough. Seems like it ...

Re: Heart Rate jumps
HR spikes (180+ while coasting) on fast descents seem to be created by my jersey fluttering in the wind. When it spikes, I can bring it back down by pulling my jersey away from my chest (just verifies the source of the problem). Anyway, a tight base layer didn't stop the spikes for me, but I have ha...

Re: truncated ride files
Thanks for the update, Travis. I am using 5 sec recording, so that would correspond to the 5 min truncations I'm seeing.

Re: High Temperature Reading
Travis, Thanks for the reply...I did indeed stop to refill on water with about an hour left in my ride. However, that left an hour of riding until home and it was within the last several miles that I noticed the 90+ temp readings, topping out at 95 by the time I reached home. As for the mounting, my...

Re: truncated ride files
I noticed this week that I'm having the same issue with my iAero. I did a ride a few days ago that lasted just over 50 minutes according to my iAero display. However, after I downloaded the ride, I noticed that the ride file recorded a ride time of 46:00. Looking at the charts in iBike 2, it looks l...

Re: High Temperature Reading
I’ve been riding with my new black iAero for a couple weeks now, and I have noticed that the temperature displayed while riding is consistently high. I read in the manual that the black model does in fact reflect higher temps due to direct sunlight. However, some of the temps reported by my iAero se...
