Re: Gen III Aero - tilt and battery issues
No this was purchased directly from you, just didn't see the need to use it until I read the trainer function was added. How much will this cost to repair? Frankly if it is too expensive, I will just keep it for trainer use. I have yet to see any gains over my Aero Gen II. I guess mine has always be...

Re: Gen III Aero - tilt and battery issues
I didn't believe the batteries were defective either, as they gave a reading of 2.83v following the ride, and 2.89 after they warmed up> Plus the Gen III recovered briefly after going strange for half the ride. The unfortunate part is I didn't start to use Gen III until December 2010, it has about 3...

Re: Gen III Aero - tilt and battery issues
Here are the 3 files, for 2 rides. They were return loops, not the same course. These are my only 2 rides with the Gen III outdoors, dry conditions.

Gen III Aero - tilt and battery issues
I used the Gen 3 on my trainer all winter - worked fine. Now after setting trainer mode off, and using outdoors it is behaving very strange. I thought it could be a battery issue (although the battery was only a couple of weeks old), so I put fresh batteries in everything and tried again. Same stran...

Re: USB Data computer mount - super tight
Careful with the silicone spray; that can cause the adhesive on the clear gasket mounted to the grey to dissolve. If that happens the gasket will fall off. Well, there no longer a tight issue, I tried a couple of times on and off after your reply - the gasket crumpled at one of the points where the...

Re: USB Data computer mount - super tight
I am using my iAero Gen III for the first time this week, I purchased it last year. I have the same problem with the USB Data mount - really tight to the point that it could break the mount connection. What was found to be the solution for this?

Re: What iBike setup would I need?
Note that the iBike will not display watts on the trainer unless you pay for a an upgrade which does the Kurt power vs speed calculation. Are you saying it won't display any watts? I wonder if that is a wireless vs wireled advantage? I have no problem with my iBike on my Kurt trainer and I don't us...

Re: What iBike setup would I need?
Shmish: Like yourself, I would track my performance on an Excel spreadsheet and add graphs etc to get an idea of performance including speed, HR, cadence and climbing. My tracking though was end of ride totals and averages - daily, weekly. When I came across the iBike, I bought the standard wired mo...

Re: iBike suitable for night rides?
There is no backlight, or sound in an IBike/iAero as yet. If you want to view ours at night, you need to mount an external side light on the handlebars next to the IAero. Sigma makes one, I read it isn't very efficient and I am not sure the geometry would be compatable. I am glad someone else would ...

Re: Gen III
The problem with an additional collar, battery or otherwise, is it introduces additional play between the iBike and the mount. The bonding of the ibike through the mount to the bike is important. Some have taken to literally epoxy the mount to their stem. Additional play in the mount with a collar r...

Re: Can't connect iAero to computer
I had the same issue with my iAero in WinXP pro. I did a search on the Net for similar issues and found that using a previous CPA210 driver worked for some. Mine has worked ever since. My driver is now 4.28.0.2700 from 2004 - not sure if this was updated with ibike 2.08 or not but it hasn't failed s...

Re: Using an iBike with SportTracks
Fernando: I am having problems with the installation of plug-ins. I get an error message everytime I open SportTracks where it is looking for a WB_Csv_Importer plugin. I can't seem to delete this log. When I open settings, under the Plugins I see the following plugins listed. Terraserver, Power Impo...

Re: New iBike 2.0.8 software
Hi Travis: Your are right zero HR is hazardous to your health. What I meant in the KM and Miles is the number would state 25 miles, then when I switch to Km it would read 25 km. The balance of the values would convert between metric and English, but not the distance. . Hope this helps, and thanks fo...

Thanks for posting this Fernando, I hope it isn't too complex for me. I will take a look at it and get back to you. I hope to share your enthusiasm regarding this software. I haven't had great luck doing the overlays using ibike 2.08 just yet.

Wireless Battery Changeover
I changed over to wireless almost 2 months ago now, with about 65 hrs riding time. The iAero unit battery now registers 2.77v so it is close to the time for a battery change. My question is whether the batteries in the wireless mount and the HR, Cad, Speed sensors should be changed at the same time....

Re: New wireless signal
Do you have the previous sensor serial numbers in your other profiles? Changing a battery shouldn't introduce a new sensor number? If you keep a record of the sensor numbers, they can be added later (via profile) if they become lost from the ibike unit such as your situation. I had to switch from my...

Re: Multiple CD's & OB's ?
I did the same, A set of coasts in the drops and a set in the hoods along with the 4 mile O&B for each. However I created profiles for the individual positions plus a combined profile where I included both sets of coasts from the hoods and the drops. I ride in both and thought this was probably ...

Re: Cadence Errors
Is your iBike set to record at 1 second or 5 seconds? When set at 5 seconds it sets the average into the log. Perhaps this is the case?
I can't imagine being able to spin at 165 cadence, wow that is high? My highest cadence is about 120-130.

Re: WLS FAIL DURING RIDES
I am using my replacement IAero now, I haven't had the same wireless fails as I had before. I did have one the other day, but I not only ate a power bar, I also made a couple of calls on my cell. The entire iAero unit had turned off, which I didn't realise until I had rode for a couple of kilometers...

Re: Features I would like to see?
A feature or change I would like to see on the ibike forum site is a change to the search engine. When you do a search for a word such as sensor, wireless, cadence, battery etc. it refuses to search as these are too commonly used words. Ofcouse these words are commonly used, however the search engin...

Re: 4 mile ride and profile editing
I believe the coast files are required to set up the profile numbers, where the 4 mile calibrates the tilt and wind against elevation and speed. I don't see it creating a profile on its own. If you have coast files in your log, it could allow you to select a different 4 mile to create a new profile?...

Re: Got my bungee cord and I'm off to the local college tower...
Alienator: Thanks, now that is funny! I had bad coasts on my ibike pro when the road surface was really rough with cracks. On my iAero it would freeze at a speed during the coasts (about 3 of the 15) and I would have to reset. You state the road is smooth, so the roughness doesn't apply. What about ...

Alienator: Is there any way you can change the title of this thread? As you state, it is only a joke, but clearly not one in good taste. When you have the analysis open, you can right click your mouse. Select to export the simplified graph to the clipboard or a file. The result is a clear graph rather than a screen shot, albeit using a white background and a little anemic. You can then import the file of the graph into your message, ...

Thanks to everyone, good points. Fernando: The earlier graphs - July 19 would have been using the iBikePro as the replacement IAero hadn't arrived. The recent graph (July 25) was using the iAero. Our roads vary from poor to good chipset and about 20% on smooth pavement, on the July 19 ride I had som...
