Re: Trainer Values & Fitness Test
Here's the question that comes to me given all of this: If one knows their road FTP is x (say 280) and they do an all out trainer test that gives them a FTP (based on KK graphs or iBike forumlas) that is lower than their FTP, should they adjust the power to speed formula so the average speed of the ...

Re: Fluid 2 Trainer Speed/Wattage
Travis, That's a great point. I can avg about 300 watts in a 20 minute road effort. If I go all out on a good day on the trainer, find average speed, and correlate that to 300 watts, would I be doing the right thing in terms of measuring performance for WKO+? i.e. am I getting the same physical work...

Re: Battery Dies, Lose all data
Any thoughts? I assume this could be replicated. It's a bummer and would be nice if it could be fixed (firmware)?

Battery Dies, Lose all data
Hi, When my battery dies on the iBike I lose all my ride data. The memory is still as full as it was before the battery died, but when I go into the iBike software, all the rides show 0 miles. Even once a new battery is in, I actually need to reset the unit by putting the battery in backwards before...

Re: Fluid 2 Trainer Speed/Wattage
Thanks John. I guess my real question is, "is there a new curve for the latest Fluid 2 trainers"? I can't develop my own curve because I don't have a powertap or SRM to calibrate against.

Re: Fluid 2 Trainer Speed/Wattage
Thanks Greg. However, even if those aren't right on the Saris site, iBike has power curves that I assume were tested against a powertap or SRM. It just seems that the wattage around 16-18mph is much lower than I expected given my percieved effort on the newer Fluid 2 trainer.

Fluid 2 Trainer Speed/Wattage
Hi, On the iBike 2 software there are a bunch of Fluid 2 trainer options. I have a new one with the yellow quick release handles, not the old knob version. Has anyone checked to see if the power profile has changed from the older Fluid 2s? I'm having trouble holding 16-17 mpg, which, per the iBike 2...

Re: How to switch ride data (post ride) to trainer
Hi,
Another trainer question. Is there a way to switch to trainer mode (and back again) on the iBike w.o going into iBike 2 software? This question is for Gen II and Gen III products.
Thanks!

Re: Adjusting slope question
So, in this case, would the proccessed post analysis iBike data be less accurate than the original data because of the barometer change? Is the barometer accurate enough to capture small 10, 15 foot up and down changed or would it register as flat and over-write the correct tilt and thus adjust the ...

Re: Adjusting slope question
HI,
Quick question on your green line. Isn't that a lot of variance in the before analysis? Seems like your power would be thrown off?
Thanks!

I don't have it on me right now, but I remember doing this before and I think it's closer to 40- 99% sure.

iBike Aero Coast Down/4 Mile Ride Issues
Hi All, I am an excited new owner of the iBike Aero. I just went out a couple days ago and did my coast downs and 4 mile ride. The data is attached. For some reason my CRR and friction coefficient seem way too low. Also, I thought the corrected Tilt line was supposed to be straight? I also attached ...
