Thanks John
I was trying to avoid that.
However, I will mail it off tomorrow, Thanks.

Oh No! I have a cracked case
Right where the unit mounts onto the USB cradle a piece of the surround has broken off. Started as a crack then yesterday it broke off completely. The unit still works and is completely functional but I am concerned about rain when its on the bike mount. I thought it was a little tight right from th...

Re: iBike Pro w/oversize cadence vs. 3rd Generation
I cannot help with the cadence sensor problem but: Easiest way to figure out what unit you have is to install the Ibike 3 software (it would be on your installation CD, or download from Ibikesports.com), connect and check the serial number. Copy/paste it into an email to Ibikesports. Also, if the di...

Re: new purchase help
Hi there I read on another forum that these batteries can be heavily discharged if touched by hand. I do not know if that is true or not but we had one in a polar 725x that was low, took it out, put it back in again and there was nothing. Did the same with my Ibike, replaced the battery in my Ibike ...

Re: Calibration Ride Failures
You will get a bad tilt message if you have a bad tilt calibration. Except (in my experience anyway) when you do a good tilt, wind offset and calibration ride but for an as yet unexplained reason you are unable to send the profile to Ibike because of the "tilt out of range" message which ...

Re: Calibration Ride Failures
I don't want to keep bothering Aaron with my questions and this thread is relevant to my problem (or the problem I had). It might help you. I kept getting a bad tilt and was unable to send my profile to the Ibike. It got worse, I started to get bad coast downs. Ended up with one good cd out of about...

Re: What's your fitness score and watts/kg?
Racerfern, I noticed your heart rate, it blows away the theory of 220 minus your age! WOW I cannot comment on anything more technical than that, but congratulations on the improvement. Ibike is so addictive. I retook my fit test yesterday after several emails between myself and Aaron Timmer helping ...

Re: Ibike needs to use a com port in the range of 1-32
I would perhaps do an uninstall of the IB3 software/drivers.
Do a system restore to a point before the software install.
Download IB3 from Ibikesports (just in case your cd is corrupt).
Reinstall the IB3 and drivers.
My only thought, best of luck

Re: Coast Downs and Wind Direction
Hello everyone, I did my coast downs and cal ride a couple of days ago It was too windy I think. All my cd's were good. I didn't know they could be bad. What causes a coast down to be bad? Because of my fit test results I decided to re do my coast downs and cal ride today. It was a much less windy d...

Re: What's your fitness score and watts/kg?
Thanks Tom
I am not convinced I have my profile set up correctly.
THe numbers for the fit test give me a 5 rating.
I believe thats too high.
It might have been too windy for the calibration ride and the fit test was for sure windy.
I think I should do the whole thing over.

Re: What's your fitness score and watts/kg?
Hmmm I screwed up my fitness test by entering my total body/clothing/bike weight (181lbs) rather than my actual body weight (157lbs) Can I rescue my test results by just recalculating manually from the result I was given (which was 235 by the way) Or do I need to re test? I am 49 and a novice, both ...

Re: Compatible Trainers Update
I have just received a replacement resistance unit for my 1up trainer. Its quite different from the original 3/6 pocket this one has 9 bearings in the ru I have asked 1 up for the equivalent setting for the old unit. Not yet had a definitive answer. Because it is so smooth now (compared to the old u...

Re: Inaccurate speed
I had a similar problem until I realised/remembered the difference between circumference and diameter!
Fixed in a jiffy, DUH!
I cannot believe I even posted this!
Indeed, I kind of hope yours is a more complex problem than mine was, just to save the embarrassment!

Re: Training set up question
She is 5'3" so the 165 are just about right I think. We used the Compact because of the mountains in IM Canada. But wondered, because of the idea of saving the legs for the run section, if we should continue with them. If too big gears are pushed for the bike section this will have a negative e...

Re: Training set up question
Can I deduce from your reply that heart rate drift might be a problem in figuring this out? I can see how it might be, but perceived effort is perceived effort (isn't it?), regardless of set up. If it feels easier with one set up over another for the same distance covered but you cover the distance ...

Re: Training set up question
Thanks Guys, that does help. The idea of devising a set of tests is appealing. Would you think it would go something like this: Set the original bike up and do a series of time trials on the trainer over the course of a week or so perhaps. The bench mark would be perceived effort and heart rate (as ...

Training set up question
Hello there everyone I have not bought an Ibike yet and I am still trying to decide which one to get (Aaron has been helping me no end with answers to my questions, thanks Aaron!!). It would be for me to help my wife perform better at triathlon. Right now we have a bike set up for her that includes ...
