Re: Suggested Improvement
I know the temperature is not accurate on a sunny day, but when riding in overcast weather, which it is usually in Blacksburg, VA in the winter time, it reads fairly accurately. I just like to know why it feels so cold. The interesting thing about digital thermometers that I have found, is that they...

Suggested Improvement
I would really like to have the option to graph the temperature along with all the other information in the ibike software. I know it is stored in the .csv file and can be graphed in excel, but to have it integrated with ibike 4 would be awesome.
Thanks for considering it.

Re: Battery Life in Head Unit
I finally have a setup that looks nice and adds voltage to the ibike. I can measure voltage coming through the contacts at 3.15V, but when I put the ibike on there without a battery in it there is not enough amperage to turn it on. Is this a valid test for if my set up is working or not? For my setu...

Re: False Flats
Thanks for your help. I think the calibration is pretty good and it is much more likely that I am just getting used to the power meter. It feels like I am pushing a lot harder when I am on a big gear on a flat or downhill road than when I am in a small gear cranking out the hills. I was doing experi...

Re: False Flats
The chip and seal section is where my heart rate is sitting steady at 170 or so. Miles 53-56 approximately. I was going threshold approaching the state line into back into TN and that is why I don't believe the power numbers. It felt more like 300 or so, but maybe I am wrong. I am new to the whole p...

Re: False Flats
I was riding on the road that was in question again yesterday and realized that I didn't mention that it is extremely bad pavement. Heavy chip and seal. Will this make the ibike under report? I seem to remember that I read the Gen III units are much improved in this area, and according to Boyd it is...

False Flats
In most of my riding the power numbers look very reasonable, ie when climbing, descending, or on the flats, but the iAero seems to be having trouble on false flat roads for me. I don't know what kind of error this would be from. I just got it a couple of months ago and have tried to carefully calibr...

Screen Freezes
The screen on my iAero has frozen several times in the past few days, while on rides and while in the apartment. On my ride, I was trying to access the coast down screen to check the aero calibration by coasting, but it froze on the User screen. I rode for another 5 minutes with it frozen trying to ...

Re: Battery Life in Head Unit
That is a great idea Racerfern. I will try that on my cheap wired mount before attempting it on the wireless. I think it will also have to run down the side of the mount a little too because of the tight fit of the ibike on its mounts. I will try this tonight hopefully, and post comments on how it w...

Re: Battery Life in Head Unit
I was wondering if you could use aluminum foil instead of copper foil to do this, or what the problems would be with doing that. The local electronics stores here, don't even know where I could get copper foil. I like the idea of hammering the wire flat.

iAero Compatibility
I recently purchased an iAero from ebay and want the stem mount though it came with the handlebar mount, so I'll switch it out with velocomp. I was wondering if the iAero is compatible with the wired speed mount and it just disables some of its more advanced functions, during the transition period.

Re: Water or Low Battery?
Was curious if you were riding solo or with others, I'm sure a lot of my problem was spray flicking up from the rear wheel of the rider in front of me when I was drafting. The spray seems to make a perfect path straight into the airport of the iBike, this is where a RWS can help. I have actually fa...

Re: Battery Life in Head Unit
I am interested in buying the iAero as well, but would like to know if you can rig an external battery to the wireless mount like you can with the wired mounts. I am thinking of this one. http://www.duke.edu/~aah3/DSCN2685.JPG http://lists.topica.com/lists/iBikeProPowerMeter/read/message.html?sort=d...
