Eureka! Repaired!
I am very pleased to report I took charge of the issue and opened up the iBike USB adapter and found two broken wires. I quickly soldered the leads and re-glued the two pieces together. Downloads now work again and all is well with the world. Note to self, don't stress or pull the bundled wire pack ...

I have downloaded the driver software for Vista and clicked on the program and watched it load. I have rebooted. It appears to load.

Re: heart rate data won't record...but it's there
I've gone through 6 batteries in the last six months. In any event, the unit worked well today and did not split files. Each time the batt test passes. I keep the unit outside so the sensors are acclimatized. I need to fashion some way of mounting the unit well ahead and to one side of the pressure ...

Re: heart rate data won't record...but it's there
John, I have updated to the latest iBike software and it seemed to all load well. I am pleased. Much easier than before. I have recently been experiencing trouble with the iBike creating two files in one ride and hopefully this update will fix that. I really have had no luck with wattage as it relat...

heart rate data won't record...but it's there
I can display my current heart rate nicely on a 2 hour ride, but it will not record or show up in the file once it is uploaded. The heart rate data also goes to my Garmin and it records it wonderfully.

Re: distance and file name incongruency
Previously I had my iBike Pro mounted on the protruding left hand bike handle bar. No longer willing to abandon my bike position symmetry, I moved the iBike back to the stem position. Consequently, air data and wattage is corrupted while in the aero position on the bike. I need a RWS. I have hesitat...

$0.50 for a CR2032 battery and $54 for an RWS, or $1,000 for a DFPM with unproven technology and at least $300 for a computer head to read the data. Whatever... John, I think you'll agree we have both compromised greatly in this iBike path. You've done well to bring a decent product to market and a...

STILL: distance and file name incongruency
Once again I suffered a file incongruity presumably due to low temperature issues. I was able to append the two files. In addition, I continue to have a consistent average tailwind component in the vast majority of rides. The unit needs to have a remote pitot source mounted forward of the pressure b...

I have gone for my first ride after updating 4.04 firmware and I no long suffered a low batt warning and subsequent 'two file creation' as I did previously on two rides.

I have read the online manual for 'speed fail' displays. When I make a temporary stop of ten minutes, the speed and CAD fail display will result. They will reacquire when the bike starts moving again.

distance and file name incongruency
For some reason two seperate rides have resulted in two phantom 8km rides files. Two different days resulted in 4 files, and in both day rides an 8km ride was mysteriously created. It is as though the days riding has been split into two ride files. Please note the ride file autoname is correct as th...

Re: flashes and re-finds cadence, HR and speed
I have now tried a piece of paper in the back of the wireless receiving units battery door, an upgrade to the 4.02 firmware, a hard reset of the all batteries in all remote sensors. I still get a "spd fail" display upon coming to a stop. Interestingly enough, the speed display indicates 8....

Re: flashes and re-finds cadence, HR and speed
I have tonight installed the 4.02 firmware in the GenIII iPro. I have attached the file from today's ride which seems to have many faults in the file i.e. zero distance and 3000 watt scale in display window for iBike 3.0 for Windows. The paper in the battery compartment apparently wasn't a fix. The ...

Re: flashes and re-finds cadence, HR and speed
I fitted in a piece of paper to provide a tighter fit for the battery as you suggested. The same malady manifests itself of loosing display data and in very short order the iPro stopped working with the exception of a slope angle display occassionally going up a steep hill. It was raining. I did hav...

flashes and re-finds cadence, HR and speed
When hitting chip seal roads, my iPro Gen III repeatedly starts flashing the top digits and eventually displays it has found Heart Rate, Speed and Cadence. I have replaced the battery in the remote receiving mount.

Re: Training Peaks Time Stamp -Merged files
I wanted to get maximum use of Training Peak WKO+ with file merge, but I don't really need the process. What is most important to me, is my ability to achieve the most watts per pound of body weight for an Ironman distance. To refine the quest even more, I'm interested in my rate of change in watts ...

In short, I'd like to use ONE software product to record ALL my triahlon performance. Training Peaks does what basically BeginnerTriathlete accomplishes. Traning Peaks WKO+ has wonderful 'smoothing software' and helps me determine my 'watts per beat' visualizations. iBike 3.0 for Windows does a good...
