Re: DFPM Cadence Sensing
The PT CPU I got is ANT+ sport compliant. Very easy to go into the setup and input the iBike cadence sensor ID #. Same thing with HR strap and speed sensor. This ensures that both iBike and PT CPU are using the same sensors. The PT hub I got is NOT ANT+ Sport compliant: I have ordered the firmware u...

Re: Trainer Accuracy
Travis: I can send you a PT file from my trainer. If I do, can you develop the coefficient data for me so I can use my IB on the trainer? :) My trainer (an older Cyclops Fluid) is not supported under the list of trainers. If you can/will, just tell me the ride protocol and I can easily make it happy...

est cDA not working?
I may be doing something wrong but... I am using an iAero GIII. In the setup menu, I went to est cDA and set height and weight, set Hoods/drops to "NO" and set TT to "YES". I started coasting at about 22 mph and after 15 secs I did not get a cDA est in the iAero screen. Any sugge...

Re: High power readings for first few minutes of riding
Thanks John. So what it sounds like you are saying is that my tilt cal may be off (from my cal ride). Sounds like you are also saying this is not really a big deal because GIII self corrects this. I can fix data later using the Power Analyzer. Also, I guess, I can do another set of coastdowns and an...

Fail to pair with DFPM
Installing a PT to do some comparison rides with my iAero GIII. I'm in the wireless config menu. Set Wireless to ON, Speed to FIND, Cadence to NONE (although I want to use the IB cadence sensor, can I"?), HR to FIND and then...nothing! I am supposed to set Pin to FIND but the option for Pin nev...

iAero wireless config not working properly?
I'm trying to pair a PowerTap with iAero GIII to do some comparison riding. I'm at the wireless config screen (ON) speed (FIND) cadence (NONE) HR (FIND) and then...nothing! Once I hit the center button after HR (FIND) it's supposed to go to Pin which I'm supposed to set to "FIND" but that ...

Re: High power readings for first few minutes of riding
Thanks! I'll check that out.
I try to let the temp equalize but perhaps not equalizing long enough.

High power readings for first few minutes of riding
I noticed recently that my iAero GIII shows some off the scale high power readings for the first few mins of the ride before settling in to "normal" readings. It's not a huge deal because it always seems to go away before I am done warming up, but just out of curiosity, any idea what cause...

Gen III and DFPM Cadenc
I'm getting ready to install a PT along with my iAero GIII for some comparison rides. Looking at the installation instructions, it says not to use the iAero cadence sensor because the DFPM is supplying cadence. However on the PT there is no cadence sensor and I remember (vaguely) cadence is "vi...

DFPM Cadence Sensing
I just got a PT laced to a wheel with a nice wheel cover for racing. It was a good deal so why not? :) I have been reading the instructions on how to pair it with my iAero GIII and it says not to use the iBike cadence sensor since the DFPM supplies it's own cadence signal. While I know it's the case...

Re: Second ride...some disappointing results. Ideas?
Thanks John. I fixed the Crr as suggested. This Crr was from my cal ride I did on Sunday, so unsure as to why the Crr was so high. After fixing the Crr I reanalyzed the file and I came up with 264 avg power for the first int and 218 for the second int. I think the first int is a bit on the high side...

Second ride...some disappointing results. Ideas?
Rode using the iAero this evening when I got home. It was windy cool and rainy. I was a little disappointed in my results with the iAero, and wondering if anyone had any suggestions. First, this was my TT bike which I recently just set up. I sent my cal ride data in and was told it was a really good...

Setting up multiple profiles
I have a new Gen III iAero. My question is how to set up multiple profiles for multiple bikes. I have two bikes, a roadie and a TT bike. I have already set up the cal for the TT bike. Now I want to set up the cal for the road bike. I assume that I can set the profile to profile #2 then do my wireles...

Re: WKO+ and TSS
Ah HA! User error strikes again! When I "opened" the saved CSV file, WKO does not automatically assign that file to a particular athlete within WKO (of course, in my case, there is only one athlete!). However, WKO can't compute TSS/IF unless it has a rider's stats to use...right? Duh! :D S...

Re: WKO+ and TSS
Are you just starting to use WKO or have you been using it for some time? You need to establish at least one FTP in the Power Training Zones so the calculations can happen. Been using WKO for a while. In fact I had an Ergomo and used it all last year. Did an FTP test on Tuesday with a friend's PT e...

WKO+ and TSS
Imported my data from my FIRST RIDE this afternoon into WKO+. I'm a long time Ergomo user, but my not so trusty Ergomo died and just got an new iAero. Did my coast downs and cal ride then followed that up with a short training ride. Downloaded the ride into ibike 3 software and then saved the CSV an...

Re: Trainer Accuracy
I have an older Cyclops Fluid (not Fluid2!) trainer that I'd like to work out the trainer coefficient for. I did an FTP test the other night on the trainer with my friend's bike equipped with a PT. I just purchased my iAero this wknd. If I know my Avg pwr and avg speed from the ride the other night ...
