Most excellent! And once you release the highly anticipated "Boyd Wizard," I'm going to be a very happy camper. :D

Fantastic!! You cannot believe how much this is going to help out over here in Chicago!

Quick question on mounting. I noticed in the picture the wind port of the iBike is just behind the front of the handlebar and mounting instructions indicate for the wind port to be just in front of the handlebar. Does the higher elevation of the iBike compensate for this? Are there any other mounting factors I should consider?

Thanks in advance.

Just ordered...

You'll find that the steer tube mount system makes things easier. No need to worry so much about iBike placement.

John -

What do you think the wind scaling values will look like with the new mount position?

Just wondering: with the new stem mount providing a consistent location from bike to bike / user to user, are you able to do anything in firmware to standardize the coefficients for those using the new mount, and thus further hone in on power accuracy? I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seems like having everyone mount in the same location should further remove some variables from the power calculations, correct? Will the consistent mounting location somehow now make the need for a pre-ride tilt cal unnecessary like in the iDash Power?

Just wondering...

Pre-ride tilt is not necessary for iBike units. Assuming you have a proper tilt calibration, the calibration is memorized until you send another profile to the iBike. If you have a good tilt calibration, just do the wind cal and ride away.

On a separate note, most users don't have the tilt calibration stored as part of the profile on their computer so if they make a change to the profile they're usually sending an old tilt cal. That can affect the first five minutes. Do a search on this forum for properly storing the tilt cal to your current profile on your computer.

If I want to use the new mount on two bikes I take it I need to buy an additional steer tube mount when I get the wireless rechargeable mount?

Correct. You'll also need sensors for your other bike.

Please check the dimension carefully. Most steer tubes are 1 1/8 inches in diameter. This is the dimension for our mount system.

Most like it is a 1 1/8 inch tube and our mount will work perfectly with it.

Is there a picture of the rechargeable unit taken from the side? It would be nice to see the profile of it. Also, does the unit slides on/off the steer tube attachment or is it one piece where you have to unscrew the attachment every time you want to take it off or recharge. Thanks.

I'd also like to see more detailed photos... because I'd be interested in rigging up something to mount it in front of the bars if possible.

Please share if there is a profile photo of it to see how tall it would look like.

Images may be as scarce as hen's teeth right now; this was a prototype and photos were taken last fall. I'll see if there's anything in the archives.

Is it mini USB rechargeable. How is it re-charged?

It is a removable battery. So the unit will come with the head tube mount. You remove the battery and place it in a stand-alone charger. However as noted, the battery should last for about 200 hours of use.
