Hi Everyone:

I am looking for feedback on my settings after multiple attempts to get them right. They still feel off to me, mostly in the wind sensing department. My current profile with a cal weight of 205 is as follows: Aero: .365; Fric: 9.579; Wind scaling: 1.420; Tilt: -.5; CdA: .257 and Crr: .0055. These were derived from a 2 mile calibration ride followed by 8 coast-downs. I am 5' 10" tall. BTW, the calibration ride and coast downs were down under almost zero wind conditions, for what it is worth.

What does not make sense or does not feel right are my power numbers either in a TT or on a more casual ride. Both seem low. The last TT (about 20 minutes) was 170, 225, and 695 watts for avg, NP, and Max; the last training ride (moderately hard) was 124, 163, and 602 watts.

Are these within the realm of the possible? Cat 4 realm, I mean. Suggestions on what to tweak or whether to try again?

Thanks!

Jpakk, From experience if you have a handler mount the wind scaling is higher than a stem mount so if it's a stem mount it seems kind of high but if it's handlebar mount it can vary from 1.1 to 3.0 or higher. Ultimately Coachboyd is the man that will get you where you need to be but it looks as if your wind scaling may be the issue. I would try another cal ride and coastdowns just too see how consistent or inconsistent your numbers are. The more info. you have the easier it will be for Boyd to tweak your numbers.

You have the iBike on your TT bike? Do you have the remote wind sensor in place? Are you sure that you are getting good clean air into the iBike?

Can you post one of your ride files here and I'll take a look at it for you.

Thanks so much. Two attached. The earlier ride (BCTT) is just using the quick set up. The second (HIGH COMMERCE) is after full calibration and coast down. Regular road bike; handle mount; no obstructions; pulled all cables out of way. Can send pic if that's useful. Appreciate your help!
