XP sp2 driver error

I have an iBike Pro with 1.16firmware.
I installed iBike2 on Windows XP, it doesn't recognise the iBike Pro when connected. It returns the message "iBike needs to use a com port in the range of 1-32". When I check the drivers under the device manager, there is the yellow exclamation mark at the driver.
I attempted a driver update, no change. Windows provides a warning that the driver is not working properly during the update.
I attempted to uninstall and reinstall, no success. This required a full uninstall and re-install of iBike 2, as the drivers are kept as a selected installation.
iBike2 runs, it is the driver problem.
