AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I know there used to be a way to hack a homebrew auxiliary set of batteries in parallel, to get longer life in cold weather, but I no longer see the link to the old topica forums where this was discussed.

It's 42F, overcast, and windy here today, so it's relevant. I have an iAero (not Gen III) with a wired mount, for reference.
