Downloading from both Gen II and Gen III

Post by MultiRider »

Merry Christmas! Hope all y'all enjoyed it.

I did some indoor training with my Gen II during the week. Then did an outdoor ride with the Gen III today. When I got home, I connected the Gen III to my ThinkPad, had quite a bit of trouble getting it to connect (kept getting the "unit not responding, make sure it is plugged in and on" message), but it finally connected. Once it finally connected, I downloaded the ride, extracted the profile, updated date/time, and everything worked fine.

Then put the Gen II on the USB mount and tried to connect to it. Not happening. Tried if from the Download Ride screen, the Device / Connect screen, took it off and put it back on the USB mount a couple times, messed around with it for a while. Simply would not connect.

Is there some step required to switch from one iBike to another? I would like to get the indoor files off my Gen II. Thanks.

Nope. Nothing special is needed. I have one of each and switch back and forth with ease. Try a different USB port and make sure you have the latest version of iB3.
