AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I have a wireless stem mount and a Gen II iBike.

Depending on the temperature I have experienced 25 to 45 hours of battery life in the iBike computer unit since getting a wireless mount about 9 months ago. For the last month in 70 to 85 degree temps I am getting only 8 to 12 hours. Any ideas on what could have caused this change? Could a weak battery in the mount cause short battery life in the computer unit?

What is typical battery life for the stem mount? I live in Tampa, so the temp. is relatively warm year round.

BTW, have used iBike for almost 2 years now and love it!

If the wireless battery is weak that will cause the iBike battery to do double duty. I recommend changing both and see if your battery consumption returns to normal.

I've seen suggestions that when the iBike battery is nearing the end of its life just put the wireless battery into the iBike and put a new one in the wireless head. It means you're always monitoring the weakest of the two.
