I updated the Isaac software and the firmware on Friday since when I have been unable to download rides. The software downloads the ride list in the normal way but, when I try to download and save the rides, the ibike screen shows SPDFAIL and the software after several seconds puts up a window stating error 6004. I have tried: clicking the centre button following which the ibike returns to the normal screen for several seconds before reverting to SPDFAIL; and several hard resets, all to no avail. The ibike otherwise seems fine and downloaded rides before the software and firmware updates. Any suggestions?

The spdfail message is normal with the Newton. I know it seems like the unit is confused about where it is, but just because you see the spdfail message on the screen shouldn't cause computer communication problems.
Be sure you have tried all the typical troubleshooting steps. (E.g., plug directly into the computer instead of a USB hub, try a different USB micro cable if you have one, reboot the computer, reset the Newton, etc.) If those don't work, send me an email (tpape at velocomp) and I'll help you troubleshoot.
