New iBike 2.0.8 software

We have new 2.0.8 software posted on our website. Numerous bug fixes have been made. GPX files can now be opened. Calculations are faster and opening files are easier.
Note that if you're a Windows user the drivers no longer automatically re-install every time you upgrade. So, if you're already using iBike 2 Win successfully, you need only download and install 2.0.8. Do NOT download and reinstall the Windows drivers!
If you have never used iBike 2 before, for either Mac or PC you'll need to download and install both the drivers and the application.

I like the graph overlay comparison - "Power Meter Comparison" under Features, thanks for listening.
A small glitch is in the stats window. When you click on metric to english, the Distance does not change it only shows the English value.
I had to smile when I looked down the stats at the HR average (ignoring zeros) which I assume is dropped signals, I hope I don't have any of those zeros either way (for a while anyways).
The help menu items (Reference manual etc) didn't work on my 2.08, but this may have been due to the dual installation that got past me.
cheers,
Alan

I'm not sure where you are seeing a problem with units. Maybe you just typed it backwards, but if you change the setting from metric to english, you would expect to see the distance in miles. Anyway, let me know where to find the problem if there is one.

Zero HR is hazardous to your health.

Probably so.

Another new feature that I forgot to put in the release notes is the ability to open calibration ride files (ibcd4m) for reprocessing. Just open the "Profiles -> Open Coast-Downs & Calibration Ride..." window. If you don't have your iBike attached to the USB, that is fine--just wait for the timeout message. There is a new button on the bottom of the window to browse to an ibcd4m file so that you can reprocess it if you like.

For those of use with DFPMs is there any way to create a profile from a ride file that contains a 4-mile out-and-back ride, without having to download the ride file from the iAero?

Nope, creating a profile based on DFPM data requires the iAero.

Nope, creating a profile based on DFPM data requires the iAero.
Is this because the ride file created from the iAero doesn't have all the data required or is this an artificial limitation of the software?

Hi Travis:
Your are right zero HR is hazardous to your health.
What I meant in the KM and Miles is the number would state 25 miles, then when I switch to Km it would read 25 km. The balance of the values would convert between metric and English, but not the distance.
.
Hope this helps, and thanks for the quick follow-up and for your point regarding the new feature to open calibration rides.

When is "Feature" menu active? Mine seems to be grayed-out all the time.

Have downloaded several rides. In all cases the vertical axis of the slope graph does not extend far enough to graphically represent the values at a number of max/min points. Any one else with this problem?

If this happens you can try two things: 1) Click the "Fit Plots" button. That may fix it; 2) click the "Show" button, then select the item you want to fix, then click "Small" or "Large", then accept. This will redraw the graphs properly.

Nope.... No change with "Fit Plots", "Show" just changes the size, not the scale. Today the graph for slope has a scale of +4 -> -4; with the slope having a range of -6.8 -> 9.6 %. Never had this problem with the previous versions. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try right clicking on the numbers and select "autoscale Y"

My Sunday ride has a +6.9 and a -6.6 % grade, the range on the graph is +5 and -6 so those two slope peaks are clipped graphically.
However when I center the cursor and click I can read the correct numbers that I quoted above.
I tried all the tips herein - autoscale y, fit plot and changing to small and back to large size. The peaks were clipped the same on both small and large, the large being before and after.

I've been asked to pass this along.
Beginning with 2.0.8 there is intentional clipping of slope, cadence and HR values. The purpose was to eliminate uninteresting data. Uninteresting means eliminate the need to view any false spikes or noise that can skew the appearance of the graph. This way, you have more meaningful graphs that take up less real estate on the monitor.
You can temporarily change the view by clicking on the value in question on the "Y" axis. If it shows 6% and you want to see above that click on the number and type in new value, say "12". This will extend the graph to the new range, however it will revert to the automatic setting if it refreshes for any reason such as zooming or enlarging.

Thanks for reporting this--I hadn't noticed yet. It's fixed for the next build.
