New Bike Config Problem

Post by seanw18 »

Hi

I moved my newton across to a new bike and seem to be having trouble calibrating it. It's definitely reading higher power than I can produce, maybe 60-80% higher than it should.
I've tried all the normal things, cal ride, cal tilt, cal wind, even a different mount.

Attached is a ride file from a out and back ride. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Somehow your Crr was adjusted upwards from 0.0054 (normal road) to 0.035...(quicksand).

I put your Crr back to a normal level. Load this profile into your Newton and all will be well.

Thanks for your help.

I've used the updated profile and I still seem to have the problem (350-500w being displayed on the flat @32-36kph).
This weekend I did two solo largely out and back rides in low wind and Issac doesn't recommend any significant change.
I've attached the ride files. Any ideas?

Thanks again

I'm not sure how it happened but the rides you have show a Crr of 0.03. That would be like riding through quicksand...

Returning your rides to a "normal" road resistance of 0.0054 returns your rides to reality.

I would do a new cal ride.
