Let me know if I'm correct in the requirements for using a Ptap wheel w/Newton, indoors and out, in order to get PTap power reported on Newton. Where I'm wrong please give correct procedure. DFPM is turned "On" in the Newton setup screen.
Indoors on trainer
-must have an external Ant+ (not PTap) speed sensor mounted w/sensor ID stored in Newton
-wake up the PTap sensor before turning on Newton, Newton will automatically find the PTap, a scan is not necessary
-does not require the "indoor trainer" upgrade
Outdoors
- the usual Newton setup w/ spd-cad sensor
- Wake up the PTap sensor before turning on Newton, Newton will automatically find the PTap, a scan is not necessary
If the Newton is already on before the PTap is awake what do I do to get it to pair, or is waiting for the Newton to turn off the only option?
Thanks,
