Check calibration failed for second bike

Post by Korny510 »

Hi John.

Sorry, it's me again.
I tried to do a calibration ride for my second bike.
So I rode for 2 times (with a short break between both rides) the same way in and out.
when trying to check the calibration in Isaac software it recognizes the 2 runs and won't perform the check.

Attached is the file, could you please look why the numbers are that high?

For this bike I'm using a front-out mount and the bike has 25mm tubulars and weighs about 1 kg less than my other.

THANKS in advance!

Please download a ride file from your first bike, too.

Hi John.

I uploaded a file, also from today, from my first bike.

Do the following:

1) Ride your bike for 10 minutes, so that the tilt calibration stabilizes

2) After 10 minutes, THEN start your out-and-back ride

3) Using Isaac, split the ride file into two parts, so that the out and back ride is its own ride file

4) Then, use the Check Calibration feature to adjust your profile

Hi John.

Thanks, I'll try this today.
Do my other outputs look OK?

Hi John.

I did a 16kms ride with a ~2 km in-and-out section.
I recorded it with my Bryton GPS computer, so I could extract the GPS data as well.

I used a front out mount for this bike but PP gets me after several tries a wind scaling of 1,029?!

Attached are three files:

- full ride
- calibration ride without GPS
- calibration ride with GPS

Hi,

I tried to take a picture to show how the PP is installed at the bike.

Wind scaling depends on position and angle. Your PP is pointed higher in the air, due to the combo mount, so it gets more wind. So, your wind scaling correction is less.

Your calibration value 1.029 is fine. Accept it and send it to your PP.
