1 - Turbo session on Bike 1 with PP Indoor Trainer Mode turned on
2 - Outdoor ride on Bike 1 with PP Indoor Trainer Mode turned off
3 - Outdoor ride on Bike 2, with no change to the PP settings
Rides 1 and 2 were fine.
However, on Ride 3, it was clear that the power readings were wrong i.e. when I was pedalling hard uphill I had very low power output, and when coasting or pedalling very lightly downhill I had superhuman high power! It remained like this for the entire ride I guessed that the device was somehow back in Indoor Trainer mode, as it was clearly not taking account of gradient. Sure enough, when I loaded the ride into Isaac, it only shows Power, Speed, and Cadence graphs, and no elevation, slope or wind speed, so I guess this proves my theory about the device being in indoor trainer mode.
As far as I'm aware, the only way to turn Indoor Trainer Mode on and off is by using Isaac. However, between Ride 2, where it was turned off, and Ride 3, I did not connect the PP to my PC at all - the only thing I changed was moving the PP from Bike 1 to Bike 2.
Have I done something wrong here procedure-wise? E.g. Is it necessary to manually disable Indoor Trainer Mode on every bike profile after having it turned on for one bike? Or is this a bug?
I've attached the ride file for Ride 3 in case it helps diagnose the problem.
Note that I just tried using Tools | Repair | Convert To Road Ride, and voila, the elevation and other graphs are now available, so it seems the data was all captured (although the wind speed somehow appears to have been a tail wind all the way
