I moved my powerpod to my winter bike (a 29er hardtail) which is equipped with its own Garmin magnet-less speed and cadence sensors.
Before doing so I set up a new profile in Isaac by choosing Device/Set Active Profile in Newton, and choosing the previously unused Profile 2. I didn't set any parameters for Profile 2 - I couldn't find a way to do so.
To set up the winter bike as a distinct unit, I followed the normal setup routine for a PowerPod - bought and installed new speed and cadence sensors on the winter bike, registered them in my Garmin 1000, mounted the PowerPod on the winter bike, set it into pairing mode, and registered the powerpod on the Garmin. This worked first time.
I then went for a calibration ride, with the first 5 minutes showing a ramp up to actual power. After 5 minutes, the power readings from the PowerPod were about the same as I expect for the same levels of effort on my summer bike. My Garmin 1000 recorded the power readings for my ride and the power readings show up in Garmin Connect.
Next, I connected my PowerPod to Isaac using a USB cable. The red light blinked, but the powerpod USB icon didn't turn green in the Isaac dashboard.
I disconnected and reconnected the powerpod. This time the light blinked green a few times then stopped.
In no case did I get access to the new ride file.
If I jiggle the mini-USB connector where it goes into the PowerPod, the red light sometimes flashes several times, but it typically stops within 10 seconds or so.
Still no access to the new ride file, and the USB connector icon does not turn green when the powerpod is connected.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
