Same bike and sensors- different GPS head unit

Post by ScottishGeek »

I have been using my Powerpod on a bike alongside a Wahoo Elemnt GPS unit. I want to be able to use my Garmin Edge 1000 instead for some rides. Can I simply pair with the Edge or do I need to set up another profile and go through all the recalibration steps again?

Just pair your Edge to PowerPod. You don't need to recalibrate your PowerPod in any way, because the PP is a "transmitter" of information that is "received" by your Wahoo and Edge 1000. The PP does not care what is receiving its transmissions.

Thanks. I've had the Edge search for the Powerpod but it fails to find it. Any ideas?

EDIT: Got to the bottom of it; dead battery in speed sensor. One thing the Elemnt doesn't tell me.
