Powerpod Calibration Ride successful?

did this work all right? I am asking because when I did the ride I might have gone on for a bit before noticing that the first part was finished.

Somehow your Crr was set for an MTB.

Load the attached profile into your PP. This profile has Crr for a road bike.

I'm a new user from Germany and I'm excited about this great little piece of technology.
I hung my calibration ride, it would be nice if you could take a look at it.
Is there a way to protect the Powerpod? I am already afraid that the plasticfastening breaks off in a fall.
I hope it is ok that I attach my questions here. Sorry for my google english

I can't tell from these photos if your PP is mounted in a vulnerable manner (it isn't your bike)...

What I can say, from experience, is that we have had very, very few failures due to broken tabs.

Yes, it would probably reduce the number of topics if an admin made this a Sticky and people would all post their dubious calibration rides in the same thread.

I put the PowerPod on my second bike (Cube Cross Race Pro, Cyclocrossbike with disc brakes) and did the calibration ride, on the same piece of road as last time. Did this one work ok?

Hello John,
first the pictures from my bikes and then i have a question/idea for the next version from Powerpod.
With a different attachment, the alignment is not so easy. I got a small spirit level - works perfectly.
You could also attach an even smaller spirit level to the case to facilitate alignment - see picture 1.

You are using a Rotor mount with your PP. CAUTION! We have used this mount and it is pretty flimsy (flexible). If you ride rough roads you may not get good performance with this mount.

I will pay attention and replace the bracket if necessary.
The last ride looks good. I have a polar keo power pedal on the roadbike too.
The differences were very small, I am very excited !!

Somehow, my PowerPod forgot two of its profiles. So I have to redo the calibration rides.

This here I would like to use in an upcoming gravel race, therefore it is quite important to me. Could you please check it, John?

It's a 29" bike with drop bars, stiff fork and 2,35" wheels (btw, it would be great if there was an option for 2,35" wide tires in the settings). I ride with a small backpack with a hydration bladder. The tires are run with 2,5 bar pressure.

I think you are fine, though I notice a few minor speed spikes. Are you using Wahoo sensors?

yes, wahoo speed on front wheel and cadence (on top of my left shoe) ...

also have elemnt bolt.

wind speed was about 20-25kph during the calibration (normal weather here this time of year), is that ok?

Wahoo sensors are prone to spikes (other bike computer companies have noticed this too).

I saw the wind in your ride file. I think your calibration is fine.

rode outside yesterday and got some really weird power spikes for a number of kilometres...

when I started, I just hit the button on top, and go, correct?

reading was zero for a long time, then 2000+ W seemed to be x10 out. Not sure if it ever stabilised as I got the feeling it was still over-reporting.

I think I fiddled around with the on off switch and somehow created three rides (one long ride altogether) ... In the middle of the ride, I held the button on the PP down for about 4-5s so not sure whether that did anything, but you can see same effect at start of third ride, lots of very high power readings.

Any advice? Do I need to calibrate again? I had to strip out my power readings from Strava post to preserve my power curve...

Appreciate your help as I really want this to work and NOT spend $$$s on power meter.
