Newbie V3 with garmin edge 1030 advice please

Post by Orro »

Hi all
Thanks for the add, so I have managed to pick up a brand new old stock v3 PowerPod which I am keen to get up and running when I receive it.

In the meantime I have done some research on YouTube and noted that the advice is to pair sensors such as heart rate and speed/cadence etc then turn on bike computer and pair that.

My issue is I have a separate garmin heart strap and cadence sensor but my speed is logged on my 1030 edge by gps on the head unit, so my question is will not having a separate speed sensor cause me any connection or calibration issues? Do I need to do everything individually or can I turn everything on at once and PowerPod will find the various sensors? I note there is an IOS app will this assist with my connection calibration etc?

Thanks in advance for any advice

You definitely need an ANT+ speed sensor; PP will not function without it.

Please read the instructions to find out how to setup your new PP.
