Hello!
I bought a new Fourth Frontier Frontier X HRM w/ECG capability that has Bluetooth transmission only, no ANT+. Works great to show HR data while riding my indoor trainer, and great for viewing/recording HR data on the Garmin Edge 530 head unit.
I've been tearing out what little remains of my hair trying to get the new BT-only HRM (already successfully paired to the 530) paired to a PowerPod profile with ANT+ speed and cadence sensors successfully paired so I can analyze HR & power data in Isaac.
Is this impossible or is there a way this can be done that I have not yet figured out?
Kevin

PP works with ANT+ sensors only, so you can't pair your BLE HR strap to PowerPod.
HOWEVER...you are recording your HR signal in your Garmin. After completing your ride, extract the .FIT file from your Garmin using Garmin Connect. Export your .FIT file from Garmin connect as a .gpx file. In Isaac, with your ride file open, read your .gpx file (File/Merge...) and get your HR data into the Isaac file.
If you're using Velocomp Aero app for Mac/PC it's even easier. Open your ride file, then drag/drop your .FIT file onto the main screen. This will allow you to merge your HR data.
