AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Hello all, new user here.

I have paired my sensors properly, and the light flashes yellow when spinning the wheel on a stand. When I put it on the ground, pair my Garmin 1000, start the ride on my Garmin, and push the button again on the PowerPod to do my calibration run, the light goes green; it does not turn yellow. In addition, I do not get the screen showing the percentage of the calibration completed.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I have gone for a 24 mile and 45 mile ride and it does record power, wind, speed, etc but I cannot get it to the calibration ride mode.

Here's the hardware I'm using:
Garmin ANT+ speed/cadence sensors, new style (not the combined sensor)
K Edge dual Garmin/PP mount
Garmin 1000 on latest firmware update

1) Spin the wheel on your bike so that the speed sensor is awake

2) Click the button on your powerpod. It should show solid yellow. If it does not then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for help

3) If it shows solid yellow then spin the wheel on your bike to simulate riding. After 10 seconds the PP should start flashing yellow. If it does not then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for help

4) If the light flashes yellow then stop the wheel motion. Wait 10 minutes, then start the 5 minute ride. The light should flash yellow. If it does not then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for help

5) If you get this far then all should be well. If you don't get this far then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for help

At step #4, can you clarify a couple things for me?

1: should I press the button on the PP to initiate the ride, or literally just start riding without pressing the button?

2: should I start the ride on my Garmin (at this point the Garmin and PP will be linked) or keep it on the home screen, not press any buttons, and do my five minute ride?

Yes, you should pair PP to your Garmin AFTER you pair your ANT+ sensors to your PP, and before you start your 5 minute ride.

Once you get to step 4, the PP light will remain on continuously in Yellow for 20 minutes, until you start riding. After a few seconds of riding it will start to flash yellow, and continue to do so for 5 minutes until the cal ride finishes.

If the light goes out before you start your 5 minute ride, just click the button to turn on the yellow light.
