PowerPod + PowerStroke/Tracker

Hello,
I have read the PowerStroke documentation from the link in Isaac. As I can do very long ride (>6 hours), is it possible to disable the PowerStroke feature when enabled on a PowerPod?

Finally, the PowerPod Tracker also looks interesting but I do not want to have to carry my phone to record GPS since I always have my garmin. Isn't there a way to benefit that software feature by also uploading a GPX file in Isaac?

Thank you,
Jeremy

PowerStroke is always turned "on" in PowerPod. You get about 27 hours of data, so if if you do long rides simply download your ride each time, then erase the ride memory.

You're correct that you can merge a GPX file into Isaac and get the same data that PowerPod tracker provides. PowerPod Tracker does the merging "automatically" so that is its additional benefit.

I haven't tried this, but would changing the sample rate using Isaac work?
Device->Setup->Set Sample Rate...
Then there is a checkbox to enable or disable PowerStroke. If this box is unticked, you can then select 1 or 5 second sampling. Of course (if this works...), you'd have to remember to switch back and forth each time you wanted to take advantage of PowerStroke or longer recording times.

I will check with our firmware developer, but I don't think PowerStroke can be turned off with an Isaac command.

Is this correct if PowerStroke is activated? I have PowerStroke activated and the ride I did today which was just over 2hours used 30% of the memory per the attached screen shot. That is consistent with about 6 hours of memory per the PowerStroke documentation.

Did you manage to find out if the Issac command to turn of PowerStroke works for the PowerPod?

1) 27 hours is correct, assuming your ride memory is empty. Unless you erase your old ride files with Isaac, they will continue to "eat" available memory

2) You can turn PowerStroke off using Isaac, as follows:

A. Attach PP to Isaac

B. Select "Device/Setup/Set Sample Rate..."

C. Notice that the "PowerStroke" box is checked in the window

D. Uncheck the "PowerStroke" box

E. Click the "Send to iBike" button in the window

F. Press-hold the PP button for 10 seconds to Hard reset the PP. The PP light will flash, then go out momentarily, then start flashing again.

G. Select "Device/Setup/Set Time and Date" to restore the correct time and date in your PP.

The above steps turn off PowerStroke.

To turn PowerStroke back on, repeat the above steps, except check the "PowerStroke" box.
