Too low Fric value
Too low Fric value
I just went from the bar mount to the out front mount. Did a short out-and-back calibration ride and went for Check Calibration. I was surprised to see the changes in friction which didn't allow me to upload the tweaked profile to the PowerPod. What causes this and what should I do?

Re: Too low Fric value
Your ride file looks ok and the Crr number of 0.004 is OK, too.
I'm not sure what is not working for you...

Yes the file looks ok, but when I do Check Calibration based on it and try to send the updated profile to the PowerPod I get a message saying 'The following parameters are out of range: Fric = -0,050 (Allowed range: 0,10 to 100,00)'. Screenshots attached.

Re: Too low Fric value
The problem is that your PowerPod is confused; it was calibrated on one bike, to get a "tilt cal" value, but then the angle of the mount changed, causing the tilt value to be wrong.
This causes the negative fric value.
To fix this, go to "Device/Setup/Erase Profile...". Erase the profile. You'll then have to start over (including pairing, user settings, and new calibration ride) but this problem should go away.

Re: Too low Fric value
That I did now. Went for a 23 K ride - the last 6 min. as an out/back calibration ride to fine tune post-ride. I guess the new profile is spot on now - or am I wrong??
