AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Been using my PP since the summer and now it comes to the grimy British winter I am wondering if I need to take any particular precautions? The front of the PP is splattered with mud (despite me only riding on road but they are mostly country lanes) and that inlet is making me nervous that the internals are going to be vulnerable in some way.

Anything I should be doing or not doing? I note that PP is said to be appropriate for MTB so a bit of mud ought not do it any harm, however an entire winter's worth of muck and rain being forced into the inlet...?

If the wind port becomes dirty then just rinse it with water to clear the dirt. If water gets in to the USB port then just blow it out...

Rinse it? Not under a running tap surely? I can see that crud has got into the inside surfaces of the port - not sure how I will rinse that?

yes, under a running tap is ok. blow out the wind port afterwards with your breath.

Wow OK - I didn't expect that reply. Putting the portal to the workings of an electronic device under a running tap isn't "normal behaviour" for me Thanks.
