Calibration - how to come to?

Hallo!

May be i am a very unskilled user but however.....

I have a new Powerpod BLE, i did update it via the Isaac software to the newest firmware 6.21 - no troubles.

I did put in my weight, size, tires etc..

I did mount it to my classic colnago master - connected it sucessfully with a magnetless wahoo speed and cadence sensor, connected it without troubles with my polar v650.

I started to ride, power is shown, it fits grosso modo to my stages data from my modern race bike..... working flawless.

But i did find no way to get an orange light to start a calibration ride, not at the first ride, not at the second ride.....

Is there a way to force a calibration?

Thanks in advance for some advice!

Awaken the sensors on your bike.

Then, click the button of your PowerPod to turn it on.

What color is the light? Is it flashing?

Also: if possible please install Isaac software on your computer, then post a recent .ibr ride file.

Hallo!

I awaken my sensors, then push the button of the Powerpod.

The light flashes green and goes to solid green very fast - after some seconds it extinguishes.

i start to ride and see the powerdata on my V650 - working (i can change the data between instant, middle 3sec; 5 sec; 10sec ...).

I also tried to push the button very long -10sec + same result.- powerpod is just working

So i never come to a calibration ride. the PowerData is a little bit higher than on my stages-bike on the same road part - looks normal because the classic steel bike is heavier and the tires are clinchers opposite to my superlight tubular carbon rims on the racing bike with the stages.

I will send you my latest file later today from my home Computer

i usually will not connect the Powerpod regulary to my computer - i get my powerdata directly form the polar records connected to strava

best regards

Your PowerPod is functioning normally.

The reason you don't see the yellow light is because, at some point in the past, your PowerPod completed its calibration ride.

If you post a ride file I will check things for you.

Dear John!

Could it be that there was a calibration ride saved on the device out of the Box, like the sample ride provided with the isaac software?

Thanks

I don't think so.

If you want you can use Isaac to reset the profile, "Device/Setup/Reset Profile-Device".

Reset profile 1, then do a new pairing and cal ride.

Hi Generall¡¡

How can you see your power "instant, middle 3 sec, 5sec, 10 sec.... in your Polar V650? All those data in the same screen?

How must I configure my Polar?

Thanks and regards, Fran.

Hi John,

Similarly - I just received my powerpod back after a usb slot repair and battery fix.
So I figured I'd re calibrate it. Pair it too, bc it wasnt showing up on my Garmin 1000..
No success - as I frustatingly followed the online instructions.

However - I just read your reply to the OP who was having difficultygetting into calibration mode.
You answered: "Your PowerPod is functioning normally.

Eureka! ... But...how could we have known this beforehand?

Humble suggestion: In order to avoid wasted time to others ... can you add this info in the online instructions available at Powerpod.com and/or via Isaac (Help/manuals)?
