New and excited user! Please check ride files?

Post by Kaboom »

I've recently purchased a powerpod after lusting after one for about a year and I'm really excited! I only got it last wednesday, updated the firmware, performed an out-and-back calibration and then went for the two rides that you'll find attatched in this email along with the calride data. So far I'm in love with the thing but if you have a few minutes to spare I'd love it if you could have a look over the ride data and tell me if everything looks in order.
While riding the power numbers looked reasonable but a little high (although this is my first and only powermeter so I have nothing to compare it to), I mean I'm in decent enough shape to undertake 100 mile rides with a reasonable amount of climbing, but i'm not sure 220w for 20 minutes is within my reach, as the files seem to show on the climbs. Also more than a 1000w peak power also seems a little optimistic for a weakling like me.

Any input regarding configuration, setup, calibration etc will be much appreciated! Anything to try and get the accuracy nailed. But if it turns out everything's great already, the better for me!

TL:DR---- PP is installed and O&B calibrated but numbers seem a little high. Please have a quick look over the ride data?

Come on John, really?

You used to respond to requests for technical support really really fast, but there are plenty of ride files posted in this forum and sent to your email that are over one or two weeks long and we are hearing nothing back from you, not even an acknowledgement of the threads...

Some help please?

Umm...it's not that I do not want to respond quickly, it's that sometimes the post gets lost in the mix of things. Sorry about that!

If you don't get a rapid response a gentle, friendly reminder is all that is necessary... :-)

Your 23KM ride looks great. Same with the 173KM ride.

Have fun riding!

Thanks very much!

Sorry for the lack of patience, I was just seeing a few ride checking requests neglected in this forum and considering how fast you'd responded in the past I was getting jealous!

Thanks very much for the support, really happy with the product. Only problem I've had so far was due to a lost speed sensor magnet, everything with the PP's been great!
