Hi everyone,
I tried to write to PowerPod's tech support but have not gotten any response. Here is my question:
After doing an out&back calibration, I went out for an 11 miles ride the next day. The route was pretty hilly and with some 10-20 mile head and tailwind. However, after 15 minutes or so, I find the power reading just went abnormally high.
After the calibration ride, I have done a few things and do not know if any of these results in the wrong data:
1. I downloaded the calibration file and used 'Check Calibration' to tweak 'Traffic Condition', 'Ride Position', and 'Tire Pressure'. (The avg power was changed from 105 to 103)
2. Then I used the 'Edit Profile' to change the 'FTP', and then 'Send To Device.'
3. I found the Youtube video created by Velocomp but did not follow the instruction to use the 'Switch Profile After-the-Fact' (4:58 in the video) and accept it because I found the 'After' power data was too high.(image attached) Video URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z70DBxEto48
4. I changed the PowerPod mount position from left to right side of the stem after the fine-tuning process.
5. I find the PowerPod can be pushed back if I tried hard even if I already make sure tighten thumb screw bolt.
After a few hours, I went for a short ride again. Initially, the powerpod day displayed on my bike computer was 0. After 10 minutes, the power data was displayed and seems went back to normal. Should I do anything to re-calibrated PowerPod or fix the issue?
Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Re: Abnormal high power data
John will be your best source of info but here are a couple of things pending his reply:
I found I needed to do another calibration ride after moving the mount.
Some info on fixing the PP firmly in the mount in this thread: http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=4094 I found that I need to use a Phillips head screwdriver to really crank down the thumbscrew after tightening it as much as I can by hand.

Re: Abnormal high power data
Thanks for helping me. I will try to use Phillips head screwdriver to tighten it up. How can I ask John for checking my file?
Thanks!
Thanks!
