Mounting Powerpod on Giant Conduct Disc Stem

I'm looking at getting a Giant Defy, with the funky conduct cable/hydro brake system. The master cylinder is mounted on the stem - limiting space for other things.
They make a mount adapter, but I will need it for my computer and my light/camera. I'd still need somewhere to mount the Powerpod.

You can see the mount here with the limited space on the bar. I'm wondering if I might just sneak the powerpod on the bars and it would hang down below the master cylinder and get clear air. I plan on taking my mount & powerpod to a shop next weekend to try.
But in the meantime, has anybody tried?
