understanding the wind speed number...

I'm trying to understand what I'm looking at for this number? For example, in a headwind, if I'm traveling at 25mph and it's showing, for example, +10, does this mean I'm fighting at 10mph head wind or does it mean the headwind is 35mph (25+10)? Conversely, in a tailwind, if I'm traveling at 25mph and the wind is showing -10, what does this mean for the actual wind speed - still 35mph but it's pushing me from behind and I'm getting 10mph benefit?

I don't know where you are seeing this number; on your Garmin or in Isaac?
Please post a .ibr ride file and I will help you figure things out.

Here is a ride file from Saturday. I see the number on my garmin 1030 along with the slope.

The wind number you see on your Garmin is ground wind speed, in mph. +2 means there is a headwind of 2 mph. -3.4 means there is a tailwind of -3.4 mph.
Note that tailwinds can also be the result of riding in a draft.
