Using PowerStroke to tune Saddle height

John -

I have been experimenting with power stroke as a means to tune in a saddle height - basically riding the same stretch of trail over and over to get enough data at any particular setting, then making a 5-10 mm adjustment and repeating the same course.

Any thoughts on what you might see - say too high or too low - and deviations from the ideal circle top/bottom or /left/right motions exaggerated?

It certainly might be a lot cheaper than a bike fit.

I attached two rides the earlier ride was at a lower saddle position, then the second is a rise of about 15-18 mm.

The raised saddle shows less side-to-side movement, and a more symmetrical powerstroke. The raised saddle is better.

That said, there isn't a huge change, so I would pick whichever is more comfortable.
