AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Hi all,

I need help in understanding the power in the graph from strava.
I had a ride today and for some reason I can't understand how the the power suddenly went up. I was with my 12 y.o son and the ride wasn't hard at all, but I saw that the power went up when it shouldn't.

Can someone explain it to me please??

You climbed a few steep hills where, for short periods of time, maintained your speed pretty well. That takes a lot of watts!

I'm guessing but you and your bike probably weigh 2x your son's. This means that, on hills, you expend about 2x the power he does.

I think all is well.
