Re: Negative crr
Thanks to you all for the responses and suggestions. Here is additional informations 1. I am completely up-to-date on firmware (4.17). 2. The iBike is securely mounted and does not wobble. 3. I did a successful tilt calibration in my garage before beginning, drove to my calibration ride location, an...

Negative crr
I ride a trike. I had done a profile calibrations in September but wanted to get updated values. I reran the calibrartion this morning -- did the 2 mile ride and then a lot of coast downs (15+). When I got home, I found that the iBike S/W determined my calculated crr was a negative value. What can c...

Re: Setup for a Trike
Klaus, It's nice to see there is another rider out there with similar experiences -- I've got a Catrike Expedition -- the 700 was a little to low for me. I put on over 9,000 miles on mine this year, so I've gained some experience on how it works relative to the road bike (at least for me). Generally...

Fragmented Rides
When I do rides with my iBike (iAero III -- latest firmware), I am getting fragmented ride files. Sometimes the new rides are started after I've stopped for coffee long enought for the iBike to go to sleep. Other times, it just start a new ride for no apparent reason. Sometimes the file names are no...

Re: Setup for a Trike
Gee -- why aren't there lots of comments from all the other Trike owners who use the iBike?? Maybe I'm the first! Well, you guys can stash this away for the second guy. Crr is 0.0078 rather than 0.0055 I get an Aero of 0.248 and a CdA of 0.308 which are lower than for a bike But my friction is 23.89...

Re: G Firmware for iAero III
Fernando, since the IAero III and iAero III G both cost the same, why do I have to pay another $99 to get the firmware for my IAero III?

Setup for a Trike
I am forced to ride a Trike since I've developed balance problems. I've just installed my iBike on the Trike. Now I'm going through the setup process and wonder what I should do for the "Est Aero"step -- none of the three is accurate for the situation on a trike (which is more aero that an...

G Firmware for iAero III
I have an iAero III. I also have a Garmin 705. I have the latest firmware (4.02) for the iAero III. But I don't explicitely have the "G" firmware. Is that included, or do I need to get that? Specifically, what do I need to do to get these two computers talking to each other! Thanks, Frank

Systemic tilt error
At the start of my rides, I consistently do the tilt calibration. Sometimes, I even do a second calibration later in the ride (especially on hot days). At the end of the ride, I then do the detailed correction and have an opportunity to see the result of the tilt analysis and correction. It ALWAYS s...

Calories to Kj
Knowing nothing, I've accepted the two numbers for calories and kilojoules given in teh iBike tool. Looking at the ratios from several rides, I concluded that 1 calorie = 1.046 kilojoules. But then I looked on the internet and found that 1 calorie = 4.184 kilojoules. Your conversion is off by a fact...

Wind Corrections
When "Analyzing Wind..." after a ride, you can either accept the tool's calculation of "Avg. Ground Wind" or enter your own value for that term or "Wind Offset." Suppose I run the wind offset in setup before the ride to bring that value to 0. Then at the end of the ride...

Re: Tilt before every ride?
Yes and no. When you finish your ride and download the data into the iBike tool, you can do corrections. One that it does is to offset what appear to be problems with your tilt calibration. So this will then compute new power estimates based upon the corrections. But the power readings you get durin...
