Re: Procedure to use Aeropod as Powermeter by Claibration with DFPM?
Here is the procedure I used with your profile 3 out-and-back ride file, using Velocomp Aero (VA) 1) I opened the file in VA, then used the command "File/Revert to Original Download..." to get the information as it was downloaded originally (it looks like there was an extra lap in the file...

After appending the file, rename it with the total file length, then use the "Save As" command to save the renamed file.

I have installed a Powertap rear wheel to the TT-Bike for calibration rides. Aeropod is now well connected to the Powertap. Which procedure would...

Hi John, I sent the info to technical support, but no answer yet. I really want this to start working again, at least like the PPv3 because the power is almost zero everytime that the slope is above 2 or 3%. Thanks!@ /AR Hmm...Tom normally responds in a few hours. I am traveling this week. Please email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for assistance.
One thing to note: you should download and install the new Velocomp Aero app. Isaac is no longer supported.

Re: OUB Calibration help
You are right, I attached the ride while I was doing the calibration, I wrongly thought it will have the OUB in it, but it as you said it had my previous calibration which in terms of watts it could be right but in regards to wind was only reported wind from the only one side so I wanted to recalib...

Re: OUB Calibration help
The ride you posted was only 1.1KM long, and your average speed during the ride was only 21 km/h, about 12 mph. Watts for this ride was 94...just fine for a ride this slow. Your data looks fine otherwise. That said...the calibration profile you posted was NOT the one used in this ride. The posted pr...

Re: How to get Firmware Version 10
Thank You for info. Nevertheless update was succesfull today by Auto Download via VA. I bought a 2nd Aeropod in 2020 or so 👍. I just checked and I was wrong; your unit was manufactured in 2018, so it does have the new microprocessor, and that means you can upgrade. It sounds like you did get the FW...

Re: How to get Firmware Version 10
Hi, How can I get Firmware V10 for my Aeropod? The Firmware Update in Isaac Software is not working anymore. Thx I saw your email to tech support. You have an old PP, manufactured in 2016. This model used a different microprocessor, and unfortunately it is incompatible with the latest versions of f...

oh, its ok ...no more support for the old app.... Is it possible for the NEW app to show only the SLOPE and WIND for the PPV5 as the "old app" did? thanks We will ask but this app was developed by someone outside of Velocomp. We are very happy about what it does but we have no control ove...

Re: New AeroPod 2.0 CdA app for ConnectIQ Garmin computers
Hi John, PPv5 i changed my edge to a new 1050 model. I cant show ONLY the Slope and Wind as i do in my edge830. The aeropod2.0 app has no option to NOT show the CDA as the old and reliable Oleskiy app. What can i do? That old app is not found by the edge1050 in the garminIQ. Is there the app file a...

Re: New method for evaluating out-and-back data
I don't find big fun in this thread anymore, either, but cannot resist to warn you to the miscalculation: if an out and back course is 3KM total (the short end of what we recommend), at 30 km/h that is about a 3600 second test time. 3/30*3600=360s. One example: You work for 8 hours a day, in the fi...

Although we don't agree on the topic but I also truly respect that we can discuss it so openly here on the forum! 1) Short reaction to your arguments: My problem with the turnaround is that I cannot guarantee that I can reproduce them in the same way. In my opinion biggest problem is the timing: If...

Out of respect for the sincerity of your postings and your obvious desire to make your points clear, I will try, one more time, to do the same. First, let me state that I understand your concern about "turnaround" errors. There is no doubt but that CdA measurements can change whenever ridi...

Re: New method for evaluating out-and-back data
No, I am asking to do the thing in profile 4. But then you always repeat profile 4 needs a Garmin and marking laps. That means the AP will again do some calculation based on the entire lap with braking and turning making the data unusable for measuring CdA differences between two helmets on a short...

Re: New method for evaluating out-and-back data
I really appreciate your quick answers! I totally agree with your sentences but I still have the feeling you could not precisely measure the delta CdA between my position A and B, because the braking and turning phase will severely influence the average. Anyway, we are speaking about measuring the ...

Re: New method for evaluating out-and-back data
Yes, I expect only a very minor change in CdA during the 1km leg, where position, power, conditions, etc are all constant. Let's say between 0.2 and 0.205 for example with 3s moving average, but of course the longer the leg, the better it is for calculating an average. However, when I calculate the...
