Re: Q's about lessons learned with iBike & Footon Servetto
Whilst i can't specifically add iBike measurements/data, I did however find the following web site some time ago that is rather interesting wrt this topic (from an academic perspective) , ie what is the theoratically calculated difference when using deep profile vs std profile rims.; http://www.anal...

Re: Garmin GSC-10 v. iBike Sensors
Nik you asked other ppl's opinions so here is my 2 cents worth --- I use the Garmin 705 and an iPro GT. The Garmin is the repositorty for the data ie every thing i measure and want to analyse. This is easy to import into analysis software like SportsTracks (Training analysis add-ons is needed) or Tr...

Re: Using iBike on a Mountain or Cross bike
I use my iPro on rough road surfaces eg coarse chip, on a road bike and its slope/power readings go all over the place on these surfaces (about 30-35km/hr), so i can't immaging that the unit would work let alone survive a MTB trail.

Re: Variable Aero & Gradient %: ??Mounting Position??
I just dont get it... why does the slope vary so much. It is driving me nuts as i believe i am getting inaccurate power readings. Attached is of a simple 38km ride. Note the slope line is all over the place- high slopes on flat gradients. Is there a problem with the unit ??As above the recording int...

Re: Variable Aero & Gradient %: ??Mounting Position??
Thanks Tom, i will change the recording time on the next ride when the weather improves. By way of example -- Here is a screen dump of a 16 min section of a ride where the road was flat (no steep climbs/descents) and relatively smooth-- note the fluctionations in slope. I placed some arrows at an ex...

Re: Analyze Profile
hi, I am not expert (yet) but have a look at this post from John at Velocomp. I found it most helpful in determining if my profile was within range. I hope it helps. Here is a cut and Paste :- Re: Profile Ranges : Post by Velocomp on 03 May 2010, 20:41 Here are some guidelines: CdA TT: 0.2 to 0.33 H...

Hi, I am a new iPro user and I am having initial setup problems which i'd really appreciate some help or advice on. :? Problem 1- High Variabilty in Aero result during CDs : I have done some 36 successful coast downs across 3 Cal Rides and I seem to be getting very high variability in the Aero numbe...
