I purchased my Aero Friday and started the software installation process Saturday. I installed the software that came with on the CD, following the installation order specified including the warning about not inserting the USB synch device until the proper time. iBike Client Installed. Driver installed (as this is the first time I have used iBike.) I plugged the USB synch into an 8-port USB 2.0 hub: not recognized. Then I plugged the USB synch into an "on board" USB port: not recognized. I also tried connecting to the iBike through the client software (as I've read on the forum.) No luck connecting that way.
I decided to do more reading on the web site and found this forum. GREAT resource.
This morning, I downloaded iBike 4.0 and the supporting driver file. Installed/Upgraded 4.0 Then Driver. USB still not recognized on hub or "on board" USB port.
Iv'e searched for alternatives within the forum. I'm left with removal and re-installation. I know my way around The Registry, but changes there would be a last resort for me.
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Greg

Re: New Aero, Windows XP, USB Connection Not Seen By PC
I connected the USB Synch to a different laptop this morning, and this new laptop saw it immediately (of course...) I must have a port conflict. I'll do some port reconfiguring on the weekend. I do have many USB devices connected through my USB hub and directly to my laptop, too.
I've seen this issue described on the forum and resolved, so I'm confident I can get past it.
Cheers,
Greg
